Since we began posting this article, we have had 12 near misses, four cashed tickets, and nine parlays that were seemingly dead on arrival – all normal outcomes when consistently betting longshot parlays.
In this article, we never post a ticket with shorter than +700 odds, meaning that we only need to hit once each week to be profitable, which we have achieved to date. Overall, these plays are 42-33 (56.9%) if played as straight wagers, many of which have been significant alt-lines, even as individual tickets.

MLB Parlay Piece for July 5, 2023
- Alex Cobb 6+ Strikeouts
- Julio Rodriguez 2+ Total Bases
- Under 8.5
Alex Cobb 6+ Strikeouts (+110)
Since June 15, only the Minnesota Twins and Colorado Rockies have struck out more frequently against right-handed pitching than the Seattle Mariners. During that time period, Logan Webb and Tyler Glasnow have both had games with 11 strikeouts against the Mariners. This evening, Cobb, who has seven games with at least six strikeouts this year, gets an extremely favorable matchup at a favorable market price. This is a worthwhile inclusion in our longshot parlay of the day.
Julio Rodriguez 2+ Total Bases (+100)
Julio Rodriguez has not been at his best on the road this year, but there are some indications that he is starting to see the ball better outside of his home ballpark. Across his last six road games, Rodriguez has a hit in five different contests and has multiple total bases in three of those games. On Wednesday, he has the benefit of playing in the spacious confines of AT&T Park in San Francisco – trust him to get the job done here.
Under 8.5 (-115)
The forecast around first pitch tonight in The Bay has the temperature below 60 degrees, which could turn this contest into a lower-scoring battle between two teams that are far from elite offensively. Since June 15, Seattle ranks 19th in OPS against right-handed pitching and San Francisco ranks 25th in OPS against left-handed pitching. The under appears to be a strong look in this one.
