Core Plays LIVE: NBA DFS Picks for Sunday, March 30th
A daily fantasy sports OG, Notorious has been roaming the DFS streets ever since they were invented. He has racked up multiple live final seats and several six-figure tournament wins in his DFS career and has long been one of the top NBA DFS minds in the industry. On weekends, Taylor Smith takes the reins. Their Core Plays LIVE article will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, Core Plays LIVE has everything you need for your DraftKings and FanDuel lineups.
It’s hard to get DraftKings and FanDuel to agree on how to structure their slates, and, of course, they’ve taken divergent approaches again today. FanDuel’s main NBA docket is a 7-gamer tipping at 6 PM ET that includes the early POR/NYK clash. DK’s starts an hour later without that game.
The regular season is winding down over the next couple of weeks, but most teams are still playing for something. Some are shamelessly tanking with an eye on Cooper Flagg, while most are still jockeying for postseason seeding. Most of the games today have implications one way or the other for both teams, so it should be an interesting slate.
Without further ado, let’s dive in.

Portland Trail Blazers (at NYK)
As mentioned, this game is only a part of the FanDuel main slate. Most thought the Blazers would tank this season, but they’re on the fringes of the play-in hunt in the Western Conference. They’re unlikely to make up the 4-game gap between themselves and the Kings for the last spot, but they’re still mathematically alive. Portland is an 8-point underdog in NYC, with a few injuries to report. Deandre Ayton, Jerami Grant, Scoot Henderson, and Robert Williams have all been ruled out, while Anfernee Simons is questionable with an arm injury. I think it’s an awesome matchup for Simons if he suits up, and his usage is up to 27% on the year with Ayton, Grant, and Henderson off the floor. Dalano Banton (1.05 FP/minute) is a pretty good source of value regardless considering he should scoop up Scoot’s minutes, but he’ll become a clear priority value option if Simons is ruled out.
Deni Avdija (1.17 FP/minute) has been on a heater for quite some time now, while Shaedon Sharpe will also see elevated usage amid the injuries. I prefer Avdija to Sharpe if I’m paying for one, though both will see improved projections if Simons sits. Toumani Camara ($5,700) is a solid value in any scenario. Donovan Clingan (1.05 FP/minute) has a high ceiling, but his minutes are shaky with Duop Reath and Jabari Walker both in the rotation as backup center options.
