NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, October 29

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Domantas Sabonis
headChopper: Domantas Sabonis
Stevietpfl: Domantas Sabonis
tcsmith031: Jamal Murray

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field and single-entry tournaments. We have four teams playing on the second half of a back-to-back (Nuggets, Mavericks, Kings, Jazz). As of this afternoon, we aren’t expecting any key players to rest. This could be a slate where we see bigger roles for players off the bench on these teams. Most notably, I plan to be overweight on Russell Westbrook and Malik Monk, who only logged 18 and 19 minutes, respectively, last night.

headChopper: Just making 1 lineup on DK and 1 on FD—mostly single-entry tournaments with a sprinkle of large-field. With just 1 lineup in single-entry tournaments, I don’t have to get too crazy. I can play the Golden State chalk and just try to hit the highest-scoring raw points player on the slate, which for me is either Luka Doncic or Domantas Sabonis.

Stevietpfl: On this smaller slate, I will play single-entry contests. We already have a lot of value, which should lead to more stars-and-scrubs type of builds. I think I want to be underweight on Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic, which will lead me to a more balanced build. This should make my lineup different.

tcsmith031: This looks like an interesting slate for both large-field/multi-entry and single-entry tournaments. The value spots are obvious, while just about every pay-up option still projects as a positive RGValue. Even with only 4 games, some of those more expensive plays are going to come in under-owned. There’s a lot to like in just about every price tier, so it’ll be easy to get over the field on some of the undervalued options (e.g., Julius Randle, Luka Doncic, Brandon Ingram).

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
