What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I play mostly small-field and single-entry tournaments. The larger the slate, the less we have to worry about ownership in small-field contests. Naturally, it’s easier to be contrarian when there are more options to choose from. On FanDuel, I want as much exposure as possible to the last game of the night (CHI/POR), as both teams are top 3 in pace and bottom 7 in points allowed per game. On DraftKings, I’m likely going to lock in Tyrese Maxey and Andre Drummond and then build from there.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field type of contests. I’m expecting at least one more Warrior to get ruled out among Jimmy Butler, Buddy Hield, and Draymond Green. They would join the already ruled out Al Horford, Jonathan Kuminga, and Stephen Curry. This should leave some appealing value plays, as the Heat and their blazing pace make for an appealing matchup. Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski would be my favorite targets, with Pat Spencer being my favorite tournament dart. Depending how the news flow goes, I expect to play at least one Warrior in every lineup I make.
ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – There are some very impactful Q tags, so I’ll be paying close attention to who is available and any changes to our NBA starting lineups page. This should be a great slate for late swaps. I won’t have many large game stacks, as there are too many strong game environments and it’s likely we get big scores from players across several games.
Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
