NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, March 21

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Luka Doncic

squirrelpatrol: Domantas Sabonis

headChopper: Domantas Sabonis

eys819: Domantas Sabonis

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Jordan Poole – He was fairly popular the other night and finished the game with 22 fantasy points in 28 minutes. It wasn’t a great performance, but he took 18 shots and would have played more minutes if not for the blowout. The Wizards have already ruled out Tyus Jones, Marvin Bagley, Landry Shamet, Bilal Coulibaly, and Eugene Omoruyi. They have also listed Deni Avdija and Richaun Holmes as questionable. I like Poole’s upside at low projected ownership.

squirrelpatrol: Miles McBride – The matchup in Denver isn’t a great one, but McBride isn’t priced or projected for his potential minutes in this game. He has started 6 games for the Knicks this season and averaged 42 minutes per start, and he played over 47 minutes in one of his recent games off the bench. McBride is averaging 18.3 points, 5 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game as a starter this season. So even with this negative matchup, he can pay off his price.

headChopper: Nikola Jokic – With four truly elite players on this slate (depending on the health of Giannis Antetokounmpo), Jokic is getting lost in the mix according to our projected ownership. I can poke holes in the others. Giannis might not even play; we shall see. Luka Doncic doesn’t need to dominate tonight with this matchup, and despite a triple-double last game, he still ended with only 60 DK / 53 FD points. Not good enough for this price. Domantas Sabonis is on the second night of a back-to-back and traveling. Jokic gets a solid matchup against a team that will struggle to guard him (as most do) but good enough to keep it within striking distance through most of the 4 quarters.

eys819: Kyle Kuzma – He has missed the last 2 games with a shoulder injury, but he is not on the injury report and expected to return against the Kings. Kuzma was mediocre against three slow-paced teams prior to the injury, but he gets a solid matchup against Sacramento. The Kings rank 12th in pace and 15th in defensive rating. Kuzma has the upside to play upper-30s minutes in a close game.
