On Friday night, NBA fans will be treated to a 2-game playoff slate with massive implications. The Knicks and Pacers will get the action started at 7:00 PM ET, with New York looking to secure a commanding 3-0 series lead. Following the conclusion of that game, Nikola Jokic and the defending champion Nuggets will be looking to avoid a 3-0 series hole after losing back-to-back home games to begin their series against the Timberwolves.

Jalen Brunson Over/Under 35.5 Points
Brunson has been exceptional during these playoffs, averaging 35.5 points per game in the first round against Philadelphia and 36 points per game through two contests to begin New York’s second round series against Indiana. Still, this is a tall market number for a player who enters Game 3 at less than 100 percent health.
Brunson injured his foot early in Game 2 and is officially listed as questionable for this evening’s game. Brunson is widely expected to play, but there are a number of ways in which he could fall short of 36 points. If Brunson isn’t healthy, his efficiency could suffer. It’s also possible that New York reduces his workload if the game script isn’t competitive. It’s also entirely possible that Brunson plays at a high level but simply doesn’t score 36 points, because that’s a very difficult thing to do on a consistent basis.
We cashed this look on Wednesday and will live with the results again on Friday, with Brunson playing his third game in five days — this time, on the road.

Aaron Gordon Over/Under 5.5 Rebounds
Gordon has only 7 total rebounds across the first 2 games of this series against the Timberwolves, but his rebounding numbers are unlikely to stay deflated for too long. In 5 games against the Lakers in the first round, Gordon averaged 9.8 rebounds, including 3 games with at least 11 rebounds.
Simply, this is a bet on Gordon experiencing some positive regression to the mean on the glass. He averaged 6.5 rebounds per game during the regular season.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Over/Under 2.5 Rebounds
In the first two games of this series against the Timberwolves, KCP has totaled 2 rebounds on 4 rebound chances and 3 rebounds on 4 rebound chances. Simply, he hasn’t been very aggressive on the glass, nor has he had very many opportunities to collect rebounds.
KCP averaged only 2.4 rebounds per game during the regular season and hasn’t totaled more than 3 rebounds in any playoff game this season. He’s recorded 2 rebounds or fewer in 5 of their 7 playoff games.
