Best NBA Player Props for Friday, November 21st
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on Friday, November 21st:
- Daniel Gafford Over/Under 10.5 Points
- Jerami Grant Over/Under 2.5 Assists
- Simone Fontecchio Over/Under 10.5 Points
Daniel Gafford OVER 10.5 Points (-115, BetMGM)
This season, Gafford is averaging 5.9 field goal attempts per game – 4.6 of which are coming in the restricted area. Tonight, he gets a great matchup against the Pelicans, which have allowed the 5th-highest field goal percentage on such shot attempts during the month of November.
According to RotoGrinders CourtIQ, Gafford is averaging 10.7 points per 24 minutes this year with Anthony Davis off of the floor. The favorable matchup and the opportunity to see closer to 30 minutes indicate that there is a potential edge on the over.
Jerami Grant OVER 2.5 Assists (-135, BetMGM)
Grant has played only 1 game this season with both Jrue Holiday and Shaedon Sharpe inactive, but the sample from that game indicates that he’s likely to take on much more of a facilitator role in such situations. On Wednesday, Grant had 4 assists on 9 potential assists against the Bulls. Only Deni Avdija had more potential assists on the Trail Blazers in that game. Assuming we see a similar distribution this evening, Grant should have plenty of opportunities to accumulate 3 assists.
Simone Fontecchio OVER 10.5 Points (-125, BetMGM)
Fontecchio has quietly been playing good basketball this season, averaging 11.4 points per game despite rarely playing north of 20 minutes. Tonight, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Fontecchio take on a slightly expanded role in the team’s offense when he’s on the floor.
In each of his last 2 games, Fontecchio has taken double-digit shots, scoring 14 points against the Knicks and 10 points against the Warriors. This evening, with Andrew Wiggins unavailable, we might see Fontecchio get a little bit more playing time.
There could be some sneaky value on the over.
