NBA Player Props Today – Wednesday, December 27, 2023

Jalen Williams Over/Under 3.5 Assists

Entering play on Wednesday, Jalen Williams is averaging 3.9 assists and 7.2 potential assists per game during the last month of action. His numbers have been even better at home in that stretch, averaging 4.3 assists and 8.7 potential assists in seven games. Tonight, he gets a favorable matchup against a Knicks team that ranks 21st in defensive efficiency and 26th in opponent assists allowed per game since Mitchell Robinson last played on December 8. Williams should be able to get the job done here.

Luka Doncic Over/Under 57.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Luka Doncic has been playing at an other-wordly level of late, but this market number is simply too high to not play the under. Even with Kyrie Irving off of the court, Doncic is averaging only 32.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 10.1 assists per 36 minutes of action this season. Though the Cavaliers have taken a step back defensively without Evan Mobley in the lineup, they still rank 14th in defensive rating since he last played. Ahead of tip-off on Wednesday, six consecutive opposing point guards have gone under their pre-game market number for points + rebounds + assists against Cleveland. This play might not be fun to root for, but the math makes sense.

Devin Booker Over/Under 7.5 Assists

Devin Booker has collected at least 7 assists in eight consecutive games for the Suns, despite a few tough defensive matchups in that span. Tonight, he gets a somewhat friendly matchup against a Rockets defense that will be without one of their top defenders, Dillon Brooks. Though Houston has done a good job disrupting passing lanes this year, they have not been immune to opposing point guards having strong performances against them, with Trae Young and Damian Lillard each having at least 11 assists against them in the last 10 days alone. Booker ranks 5th in the NBA in potential assists per game this month (16.2/game), which makes this an appealing look for tonight’s relatively small slate.
