Best NBA Player Props for Wednesday, November 12th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM ET on Wednesday, November 12th:
- Jalen Brunson Over/Under 25.5 Points
- Nikola Jokic Over/Under 10.5 Assists
- John Collins Over/Under 5.5 Rebounds
Jalen Brunson OVER 25.5 Points (-115, BetMGM)
Tonight, the Magic will be playing in New York after playing at home in Orlando on Monday. In games this season when the Magic are playing in a different city than their previous game, they have surrendered 124 points, 116 points, 123 points, 125 points, 112 points, and 123 points. In their lone instance playing on 0 days of rest this year, the Knicks scored 119 points.
This season, Brunson is averaging 20.6 field goal attempts per game – the vast majority of which are coming near the rim or above the break. Orlando has been roughly league average defending guards near the rim, and they have allowed the 7th-highest field goal% to guards on above-the-break 3-point attempts.
Brunson scored 26+ points in 4 of his 5 home games last year when playing on zero days rest. There are reasons to think he can have a strong night scoring the basketball in this spot, too.
Nikola Jokic UNDER 10.5 Assists (-125, DraftKings)
Jokic is averaging 11.9 assists per game overall this season but only 9.7 assists in 3 road games. Tonight, Jokic has the added challenge of facilitating to shooters who will be playing on 0 days rest after playing yesterday in Sacramento.
In that game, Aaron Gordon, Jamal Murray, and Christian Braun each played 30+ minutes. There could be some fatigue issues tonight for Denver’s top shooters. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Jokic fall short of this number on Wednesday.
John Collins OVER 5.5 Rebounds (-115, BetMGM)
Collins is averaging only 4.4 rebounds per game in November, but he played 31 minutes and had 13 rebound chances on Monday against the Hawks. It was his first game in the starting lineup after coming off of the bench for the team’s prior 9 contests.
Denver is averaging 124 points per game this season. However, in the lone game they have played on 0 days of rest, they scored only 117 points against the Pacers – a team that ranks 23rd in defensive rating this season. Tonight, the Nuggets will be on the latter half of a back-to-back set once again.
Collins should see around 30 minutes this evening, which should afford him 10+ rebound chances. If Denver’s offense misses a few extra shots because of fatigue, that only increases the likelihood that Collins can secure 6 rebounds.
