Though Durant is one of the most efficient elite scorers in the history of the NBA, there is likely to be an adjustment period offensively for him as he gets used to playing with his new teammates in their current rotations. Across the last month of action, New York has allowed the 4th-fewest opponent free throw attempts per game, which means it is unlikely that Durant will see his scoring buoyed by an abundance of trips to the free throw line this evening. The under is a worthwhile inclusion in today’s parlay.
Julius Randle OVER 24.5 Points (-115)
According to RotoGrinders CourtIQ, Julius Randle is averaging 28.6 points per 36 minutes of action this season with Mitchell Robinson off of the floor. Dating back to November 26, Randle is averaging 28.6 points per game on 18.8 field goal attempts per contest. He has been even more aggressive in his last two games, with 21 field goal attempts and 23 field goal attempts, respectively. Randle is likely to continue to be aggressive on the offensive end of the floor in this matchup against Phoenix – a team that has struggled to defend power forwards in recent weeks.
