Giants vs. Vikings – NFL Wild Card Player Props

Dalvin Cook o70.5 rushing yards (-115)

Dalvin Cook struggled down the stretch, failing to eclipse this number in four of his last five regular season games. However, there is reason to believe that he bounces-back in a big way to begin the postseason against a weak New York run defense. When these two teams met in December, Cook totaled 64 rushing yards on only 14 carries. In the rematch, the Giants’ secondary is healthier, which is likely to result in a heavier workload for Cook on the ground on Sunday. This fall, New York ranked 30th in defensive rush EPA and 31st in opponent yards per carry. Take the over here.

Saquon Barkley o72.5 rushing yards (-115)

In the first meeting between these two teams in 2022, Saquon Barkley had 84 rushing yards on only 14 carries in a game script that necessitated the Giants throw the ball 42 times. In the wild-card round, the Giants are much healthier on the defensive side of the ball, meaning that the game script is likely to afford Barkley more opportunity on the ground. During the regular season, Minnesota’s defense ranked 15th in rush EPA and 20th in opponent yards per carry. Expect Barkley to be busy this afternoon, and for him to have a great opportunity to cash the over on his rushing yards for bettors.

Daniel Jones u1.5 passing touchdowns (-135)

In Week 16, Daniel Jones attempted 42 passes, but still only threw for one touchdown. In 16 regular season games, Jones had multiple touchdown passes only four times – three times against teams from the AFC South. Facing a team that saw him less than a month ago, Jones could have some of his weaknesses exploited. Per Pro Football Focus, Jones had the shortest average depth of target of any qualified quarterback in the NFL in 2022 – making it unlikely that we see large strikes through the air from him on Sunday. Take the under in this spot, even against a defense that has proven vulnerable in the secondary this year.
