NFL $5M Fantasy Football Millionaire Review: Week 1

The Millionaire review series will provide the reader with a breakdown of the exposures of “top of the leaderboard” players, the top single-entry lineup, and a comparison between all single entry lineups and professionals for the weekly DraftKings Millionaire Maker GPP.

This week, we looked at the $5M Fantasy Football Millionaire [$1M to 1st!] on DraftKings with a buy-in of $3 and maximum entry limit of 150 lineups per person.

Multi-Entry Grinders of the Game

Boggslite simply spread out his quarterback ownership almost evenly across his top-10 picks and featured an ample amount of Spencer Ware en-route to six top-1000 finishes (a funny metric to type, but in a field of 1.5M…). Aside from his 75% ownership one of the cheapest WR1 on the slate, he spread out most of his ownership across mostly big-play #1 receivers in plus match-ups (Randall Cobb & Willie Snead his only slot receivers over 10%). He didn’t see value in the TE position on this slate (and didn’t find much value there either) as he only flexed them over 1% of his lineups. Due to his extensive ownership in Ware and hitting on a number of his QB/WR picks, a wide breadth of ownership still allowed him to cash on over 85% of his lineups.

Before you even opened this article, you were expecting at least one name: SaahilSud. And here you go. While he only landed two lineups inside the top-1000, he made them count with a 12th place finish. While he probably won’t be too excited about a $4000 score, he probably did quite well elsewhere with the value he found at various positions: Theo Riddick, Dwayne Allen, and Andrew Luck. While he did flex a small portion of tight-ends, a majority of his flex position was entrenched in those high-ceiling wide receivers.

Youdacao featured the normal SaahilSud approach with heavy ownership in a tight core. While you would need to find a stroke of luck using spread ownership approach, any two plays (Marvin Jones, Julio Jones) wouldn’t sink you from serious top-100 contention. A great core of quarterbacks in Matthew Stafford, Andrew Luck, Drew Brees, and Derek Carr paired with Spencer Ware, Travis Kelce, Dwayne Allen, and the Vikings D carried him to a 79.3% cash rate, but his lack of Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead AJ Green didn’t even allow him to crack 200 points on any single lineup.

Single-Entry Winner of the Game

MrHumphrey999 played both sides of the age spectrum for a 19th place finish. In a supposed timeshare, Matt Forte was able to continue to showing off his receiving skills in New York while Jason Witten served his role as the safety blanket well. However, most of the damage was done by rising sophomore Jameis Winston, Saints slot receiver Willie Snead, and A.J. Green eroding what is left of Revis island. Taking several risks in running out Jameis naked and using an aged running back paid off as MrHumphrey999 was on top of his fantasy news to roster Spencer Ware to a nice payday.
