On Sunday, the NFL season will come to a close with New England and Seattle meeting in Super Bowl LX. Drake Maye and the Patriots will be looking for further validation of their efforts this season after head coach Mike Vrabel won Coach of the Year and Maye finished 2nd in MVP voting earlier this week. Sam Darnold and the Seahawks have the opportunity to put the finishing touches on what has been a historically dominant season in all three phases of the game.

Many pundits are forecasting a breezy win for Darnold and company, but the NFL odds only have the Seahawks favored by 4.5 points. If looking for some higher-upside wagers – rather than a side or total – we have you covered in this article.

In last year’s article, we correctly predicted Jalen Hurts (-115), A.J. Brown (+185), and DeAndre Hopkins (+600) to score a touchdown – sweeping all three picks. And below, you can find three of my favorite longshot touchdown scorers for Super Bowl LX!

Best Anytime Touchdown Scorer Props for Super Bowl LX

Here are some of my top anytime touchdown scorer bets, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 PM ET on Sunday, February 8th:

Austin Hooper OVER 0.5 Touchdowns (+750, bet365)

During the regular season, Seattle’s defense was elite overall, but they did have a slight vulnerability in the middle of the field. They finished the season ranked only 16th in DVOA against tight ends.

Those struggles have continued into the playoffs, allowing Colby Parkinson to have 62 receiving yards in the NFC Championship game and Jake Tonges to have 59 receiving yards in the Divisional Round.

Hooper is clearly not the top priority in New England’s passing attack, but he’s a big body in short-yardage situations and has been on the field for a decent rate of their red-zone snaps in the postseason. It wouldn’t be shocking to see him surprise everyone with a touchdown in the biggest game of the season.

Patriots Defense OVER 0.5 Touchdowns (+900, FanDuel)

There has been at least 1 defensive touchdown scored in 20 of 59 Super Bowls – a trend that has been increasingly difficult to overlook. The extra week of preparation for strong defensive coordinators and the high-pressure environment for quarterbacks could both be contributing factors that make this rate of defensive touchdowns more signal than noise.

During these playoffs, New England’s pass rush has been elite. On Sunday, they will get to face a Seattle offensive line that allowed a lot of pressure in the NFC Championship game. Sam Darnold played well in that matchup, but the Patriots have a better secondary than the Rams, which could be the issue here.

Darnold had a league-high 8 interceptions during the regular season when under pressure. If New England can force Seattle into 3rd-and-long situations, the risk of Darnold making a costly mistake increases exponentially.

Eric Saubert OVER 0.5 Touchdowns (+1400, Hard Rock)

New England’s defense has been outstanding overall throughout their playoff run, but they haven’t been overwhelmingly strong defending tight ends. Oronde Gadsden tied for the team lead in receptions for the Chargers in the Wild Card round. Dalton Schultz and Harrison Bryant combined for 68 receiving yards in the Divisional Round. During the regular season, the Patriots ranked only 15th in DVOA against tight ends.

Saubert is viewed more as a blocking tight end, but he has quietly seen his snap count increase on passing downs late in the season. Saubert has also been on the field for over 50% of the team’s red-zone snaps in the postseason. We often see some new plays and unexpected scorers in the NFL’s biggest game of the season – it’s not impossible to think he finds pay dirt on Sunday.
