NFL Betting Picks: Best Player Props for Week 6

Happy Friday. The autumn breeze is moving through the Northeast as the NFL season continues to blow right by. With eleven games from Sunday morning through the afternoon, “DraftKings Sportsbook“https://rotogrinders.com/sports-betting/draftkings-sportsbook already unveiled a plethora of props for interested bettors. You know how this works by now. I am here to present my favorite QB, RB, and WR prop for this weekend. Let’s go!
Here are some NFL betting tips along with my three favorite props for NFL Week 6.
NFL Betting Picks Week 6 — QB Player Prop for Falcons at Cardinals
Kyler Murray Over/Under 29.5 Rushing Yards (use our DraftKings promo code to get these odds)
The opening line sat at -112 but stupid AT&T service would not let me get through to DraftKings during my lunch break. My wife swears by AT&T, to my detriment, and despite the constant dropped calls and poor service… we stand pat.
Anyway, I am going to keep betting Kyler Murray to rush for more than 30 yards if DraftKings is going to make that available to me. I am not crazy about the price but I am wild about the prop. During his dominant performance against Atlanta last week, Deshaun Watson sprinkled in four carries for 47 yards. The week before Marcus Mariota rushed for 22 yards. Kyler Murray should be considered the hare to the once-quick Mariota’s tortoise. Murray jumps off the TV when you watch him scramble. As I mentioned in previous weeks, Murray is a potential candidate to hit this over with one carry.
That said, Murray likely will see more than one carry. Last week, Kyler shredded the Bengals for 10 carries and 93 rushing yards. The week before Murray carried the ball four times for 27 and in Week 3 ripped off 8 carries for 69 yards. The Falcons’ defense continues to struggle and the Cardinals will likely need to lean on Murray’s athleticism with the cloudy status of David Johnson. Not in love with the price, I will be sure to check the cost on FanDuel Sportsbook when they release their props. For now, give me the over.
My Pick: Over 29.5 Rushing Yards -125
NFL Betting Picks Week 6 — RB Player Prop for Eagles at Vikings
Dalvin Cook Over/Under 75.5 Rushing Yards (use our DraftKings promo code to get these odds)
Last week, I grabbed the over on Dalvin’s rushing prop for a win against the horrific Giants defense. In some aspects, the Eagles defense is pretty putrid as well. However, that aspect involves the vertical passing attack. While Dalvin Cook is proving to be one of the elite workhorse backs in the NFL, he might have trouble finding room to run on Sunday — even at home.
The Eagles are stingy to running backs — allowing 2.86 yards per carry to the position and only 238 total rushing yards thus far. As dynamic as Cook is — and he is — the Eagles sell out completely to bottle up the running game.
I can’t speak to the validity or utility of this defensive strategy. Enabling an offense to pass the ball downfield in 2019 strikes me as quite the backward approach but the Eagles seem committed. Cook only rushed for 35 yards against the Chicago Bears — another team that excels at limiting running back efficiency (3.5 YPC). The unstoppable force will run up against the immovable object. I’ll side with the immovable object this week. Under.
My Pick: Under 75.5 Rushing Yards -114
NFL Betting Picks Week 6 — WR Player Prop for Texans at Chiefs
DeAndre Hopkins Over/Under 6.5 Receptions(use our DraftKings promo code to get these odds)
The Kansas City Chiefs are known for a prolific offense and a defense that allows opposing offenses to play catch up. This year, the Chiefs have yet to allow a great deal of production to wide receivers but also have not faced many prolific pass offenses. The Colts, Ravens, Jaguars, Raiders, and Lions are not conducting a Master’s class in passing. The Texans, on the contrary, seem to be the most equipped downfield passing threat thus far on the Chiefs’ schedule.
Last week, Will Fuller erupted for 14 catches, 217 receiving yards, and 3 touchdowns. Meanwhile, DeAndre Hopkins stepped aside from the limelight but still surmounted his receptions prop. Hopkins continues to see his fair share of targets from Watson — 28.0% to be precise for the season. Seeing an uptick in the pace of play in the highest-total game of the weekend, Hopkins’ target total should crack double-digits. If the Texans fall behind and need to play catch-up, this prop might be won by halftime. Give me the over — comfortably.
My Pick: Over 6.5 Receptions -106
