What is your favorite correlation and why?
Notorious: Jameis Winston + Cedric Tillman – How do we not play Winston this week? He’s coming off a bye and gets a revenge game indoors against his former team. The Saints have not been able to get pressure on the quarterback and no longer have Marshon Lattimore to help on the back end. I love pairing him with Tillman, who has seen 32 targets over the last 3 games. The best part about this stack is that you can surround it with some of the expensive running back plays.
Stevietpfl: Russell Wilson + George Pickens – Baltimore has the biggest pass-funnel defense in the NFL, and they’ve allowed 314.6 passing yards per game, which is the most in the NFL. Wilson threw for 264 yards against the Jets and 278 yards against the Giants. He struggled against Washington last weekend, but this is a great bounce-back spot for him. In the 3 games with Wilson, Pickens has 41.3% of the team’s air yards and is averaging 92 receiving yards per game. He’s accounted for 37.4% of the team’s yards with Wilson at quarterback. Against this Baltimore defense, I think the Steelers passing attack has a lot of upside.
Krayton: Brock Purdy + Christian McCaffrey – This is one of the highest game totals we have on Sunday, and it might be the last opportunity to get CMC on DraftKings for under $9,000. He gets the opportunity to go up against a Seattle defense who has not been very good at stopping the run. CMC came back last week and was a focal point of the offense, getting 13 rushing attempts and 7 targets. I like getting exposure to Purdy and to CMC to capture all of the upside in this 49ers offense. With Brandon Aiyuk out, CMC has the opportunity to get even more targets, making this an elite spot for both Purdy and CMC.
ebeimfohr: Geno Smith + DK Metcalf + Christian McCaffrey – With both CMC & Metcalf back in the fold, we have a beautifully lined-up correlation in this huge NFC West game. CMC returned to essentially the same old role we’ve always seen from him, and this week, he really draws an elite matchup. Seattle has been absolutely gashed by opposing backfields, and we know CMC’s elite receiving role. With the 49ers scoring on the back of CMC, we know Seattle is going to be throwing a ton. They lead the league in passing yards and passing attempts per game, and we are getting a cheap price on Metcalf thanks to his missed game. Nick Bosa is questionable, and the 49ers defense could be hurting, which could greatly boost the Seahawks’ passing game.
ncorfield8k: Jameis Winston + David Njoku + WR of choice – Winston has started 2 games and been exactly who we expected him to be. In 2 games, he’s thrown 87 passes. He had 3 touchdowns in one game and 3 interceptions in the next. It’s a roller coaster, but the Jameis experience can be quite profitable in DFS. All of the main pass catchers here — Njoku, Cedric Tillman, Jerry Jeudy, and Elijah Moore — are in play, but Njoku is my favorite first addition to the stack because he has the strongest pedigree and TE eligibility.
Davis Mattek: Tua Tagovailoa + DeVon Achane – The QB/RB stack is one of the favorite plays in the sims because the field rarely follows it. Even for RBs that do not have a 20% target share (which Achane does when Tua plays), there is undoubtedly positive correlation between QB and RB on a team that scores a ton of points. Achane has been at his best this season as a pass catcher and has more receiving TDs than rushing TDs.

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
