What is your favorite correlation and why?

Notorious: LV/TB game stack – We saw Bryce Young torch the Buccaneers last week, so I am hoping Aidan O’Connell can do the same. Jakobi Meyers and Brock Bowers grade out as two of the best plays at their respective positions, so why wouldn’t we like the quarterback throwing them the ball? O’Connell is cheap and facing a defense that is 31st or worse in EPA against the pass and fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. I like bringing back the single or double stack with Mike Evans and/or a TB running back. We’ll see if Bucky Irving is going to play.

Stevietpfl: Aidan O’Connell + Brock Bowers + Jakobi Meyers – O’Connell came back from the thumb injury and threw for 340 yards and 2 touchdowns against a tough Kansas City defense. This weekend, he gets a weak Tampa pass defense. This offense runs through Bowers and Meyers. O’Connell threw the ball 35 times last weekend, and Meyers/Bowers combined for 25 of those targets. With Will Levis projecting for a good amount of ownership, I will end up being different with the Raiders. I think Tampa has a better chance to put up points to favor the game script for the Raiders more than the Jags for the Titans.

Krayton: Kyler Murray + Marvin Harrison and/or Trey McBride – I expected the total on this game to be a little higher, but this is a game the Cardinals need to win. We get a QB who can put up good rushing yards, and he has two elite pass catchers, with Harrison and McBride. McBride has had 12 and 15 targets in his last 2 games, and we finally saw Harrison get 12 targets in the last game. Harrison has been very inconsistent this season, however, he has the explosiveness to make big plays, and Arizona should be ready for this important game. Paying down at TE has been very popular recently, and that could leave McBride coming in much lower owned than he should be.

ebeimfohr: Caleb Williams + DJ Moore – The Niners have been one of the very worst defenses in the entire NFL with the loss of Nick Bosa. Assuming he doesn’t play, the field will gravitate more to D’Andre Swift for the Bears and many other cheap stacks (e.g., Will Levis, Aidan O’Connell, etc.), but Williams has been a far better fantasy option than those players of late. The Bears have thrown a ton since the coaching change, and Moore had an insane 16 targets last week against Detroit and has back-to-back games of at least 23.7 DK points. It’s difficult to find lower-pOWN% ways to build while fitting the likes of Saquon Barkley and Alvin Kamara, but the Bears provide a high-upside path to that.

ncorfield8k: Kyler Murray + Trey McBride – While I prefer Brock Bowers to McBride in a vacuum, I prefer the Cardinals stack overall. The Seahawks defense has given up the 6th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to quarterbacks and the 9th-most to tight ends. McBride averages the 3rd-most PPR fantasy points per game of all tight ends, and that’s without a single receiving touchdown on the season. I’m expecting positive regression.

Davis Mattek: Brock Purdy + Jauan Jennings + one other 49er – Purdy played horribly against Buffalo, but it was in the snow and he is legitimately injured. The line vs. the Bears does not suggest that the betting market thinks Purdy is too injured to be capable here. With so much pOWN% going on Isaac Guerendo, using the very efficient 49ers passing attack is going to give insane leverage on those Guerendo lineups. I think you can even get away with Purdy / Guerendo / Jennings / George Kittle.

Who’s your favorite contrarian play (below 10% pOWN%) and why?

He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
