What is your favorite correlation and why?

Notorious: Josh Allen + Amari Cooper – It always makes me feel better about my conviction plays when Kristi Metzger (Krayton) is on the same page. Allen is coming off a ridiculous fantasy outing last week against the Rams. This week, he squares off against the Lions, who are elite against the run and who will put up a ton of points. I love targeting Allen in close games. While pairing him up isn’t a necessity given his rushing upside, Cooper saw 14 targets last week. The Lions are one of the best teams in the NFL at defending tight ends, yet they have allowed the 4th-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.

Stevietpfl: Anthony Richardson + Courtland Sutton – I’ll start by saying I will pair Richardson with Josh Downs on some lineups as well. Denver’s defense has been solid this season, and they’re allowing the 8th-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. That said, they’ve struggled recently, allowing 298.7 passing yards per game since Week 7, which is the most in the NFL in that span. In Week 13, Winston threw for 475 yards with 4 TDs. The Colts are 2 games behind the Texans in the playoff hunt, and this is a must-win at this point in the season. I think Richardson has a high ceiling with his ability to run and throw against this defense. Sutton has at least 8 targets in 6 straight games and has gone for at least 70 yards in each of those games. In that span, he has 44.4% of the air yards, 26.8% of the targets, and he’s the first read on 32% of the team’s dropbacks. I think this game has sneaky shootout potential.

Krayton: Josh Allen + Amari Cooper – It will be interesting to see where ownership shakes out with Josh Allen coming off a 54.9-point outing on DraftKings against the Rams despite of being the most expensive QB on the slate. Allen gets another elite indoor environment, and I have a ton of interest in going right back to him and pairing him with Amari Cooper, who is coming off a game in which he had 14 targets and played on 55% of the snaps last week. He is reasonably priced on both sites and is my favorite option to pair with Allen. Jameson Williams is another great mid-tier WR, as he has received 7-8 targets in each of the last 3 games and has big-play upside.

ebeimfohr: Josh Allen + Amari Cooper + Amon-Ra St. Brown – Thanks to a boatload of playable options at all price levels for the running back position, we’ve freed up salary for the game of the week. We just saw this Bills team get into a nearly 90-point shootout with the Rams, and the Lions can put up big numbers on anyone. Josh Allen is pricey, but he’s running a TON more down the stretch, and we just saw his unmatched ceiling at QB. Amari’s price is really nice, and he’s fresh off a whopping 14 targets last week on 37 Allen attempts. On the opposite side, these are the exact type of shootout games in which we get the St.Brown ceiling performances. His price is down a bit, and he flashed a 40-point ceiling earlier this year.

ncorfield8k: Jameis Winston + Jerry Jeudy + Elijah Moore – In 6 games as a starter, Winston has 259 pass attempts, leading the league by 24 in those weeks. Jeudy has 54 targets, and Moore has 50 in those games. Cedric Tillman has already been ruled out, and David Njoku is questionable, so targets could be even more concentrated this weekend. And it’s not a bad matchup in recent weeks. Over the past 5 weeks, the Chiefs defense has allowed the 3rd-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to receivers, and the most to slot receivers (Moore).

Davis Mattek: Kyler Murray + Marvin Harrison Jr. – Murray is always a better value proposition when facing a weak defense. Despite having the best corner in football, the Patriots are bottom 5 in fantasy points allowed to opposing WRs and in yards per play allowed. The Cardinals are at their best when playing downhill with the threat of the run game. That should firmly be in play here. MHJ is at a season-low $5,500 pricing on DraftKings, and that is a spot to attack.

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
