What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Notorious: I prefer small-field and single-entry tournaments. I’m planning to use Lamar Jackson or Derrick Henry in every lineup this week. The Ravens have to run the table and get some help to make it back to the postseason. They are facing a Bengals defense that is bottom 3 in EPA allowed per dropback, EPA against the run, fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks, and fantasy points allowed to running backs. I’m running with the expectation that at least one of Jackson or Henry has a ceiling game. In my non-Lamar lineups, I will be taking some chances on Shedeur Sanders and the Browns’ passing game. If David Njoku and Cedric Tillman are out, we are going to see a very concentrated target tree in a nice matchup against the Bears.

stevietpfl: I prefer small-field contests this weekend. We have a massive 13-game slate, and I’m still struggling to get off of a few teams. I’m going to build around those teams. Last weekend, I was overweight on cheap quarterbacks, and it failed. I’m going back to the cheap quarterbacks this weekend and spending up at wide receiver. I like spending up for running back to be different as well.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry and 20-max contests, and even though we have a game that has an elite total (DET/LAR), I don’t think that Matthew Stafford will be very highly owned since a lot of the cheaper QBs are projecting well. I like paying up for Stafford and Puka Nacua, as I think with some of the cheaper value that is emerging (e.g. Mitchell Tinsley, Wan’Dale Robinson, Woody Marks, etc.), I can get different than the field.

ebeimfohr: I will continue to focus on smaller-field tournaments – especially this week – with a very tight core. Truthfully, the chalk is quite strong this week overall, but I think we can make minor tweaks around the edges, like Marcus Mariota over Jaxson Dart, RJ Harvey over Woody Marks, or Isaiah Likely at TE over Harold Fannin Jr. and co. Then you can fill in the gaps with the top projections in these particular fields.

Davis Mattek: I will be focusing on single-entry tournaments. I think there are so many appealing options that it should be really easy to build positive-ROI lineups with players that I like using our NFL DFS sims tool (SimLabs). For example, you can do a Lamar Jackson + Mark Andrews stack, and if you just make one or two small pivots, you can have a low combined ownership while only giving up 5 or so points of projection.

Jordan Vanek: I’ll be focusing on single-entry and 3-max contests that have small fields. I don’t think the Marcus Mariota + Terry McLaurin stack will get enough ownership compared to the Jaxson Dart stacks, and my main way to get different is through the Ravens tight ends. Isaiah Likely is my preferred option, but I won’t rule out Mark Andrews – both are live to be the play. With chalk likely spread out due to the number of strong options, I’m comfortable playing the best pieces from DET/LAR and pairing them with an option from teams with high implied totals, like the Seahawks or 49ers.

Who’s your favorite contrarian play (below 10% pOWN%) and why?
