What is your favorite correlation and why?
Notorious: Josh Allen + Kareem Hunt + Rashee Rice – This is my favorite game stack on the slate, and this is my favorite way to build it. You can throw in a Bills wideout to complete the stack, or you can use Allen solo. Throughout his career, his biggest fantasy outings have come when the Bills have been pushed. In his last 4 games against the Chiefs, he has scored 25, 21, 30, and 40 fantasy points. On KC’s side, Isiah Pacheco has been ruled out, which creates some nice value for Hunt. I also like using Rice, who leads all NFL receivers in expected fantasy points per game.
stevietpfl: Caleb Williams + Rome Odunze + Ja’Marr Chase – Assuming Joe Flacco can play, I think this game has a lot of potential. In the 3 games with Flacco, Chase leads the NFL with 346 receiving yards. He has a 42.9% target rate and 48.4% of the team’s air yards in that span. He’s also been the first read 52.9% of the time. Williams hasn’t thrown for multiple touchdowns since Week 3. The defense and the running game have been playing well. The Bengals’ offense is great, and Flacco can put up points. The Bengals’ defense is awful, which opens up a potential shootout. The Bengals rank 31st in pass EPA and 31st in overall team EPA. With the recent production down, it’s a buying market on the Bears, and I’m in.
Krayton: Tucker Kraft + Tetairoa McMillan – Kraft has had an incredible season, and he continues to be one of the best in yards after catch in the NFL. His targets are continuing to climb this season, as he had 9 and 10 targets in his last 2 games, and he has shown that he is one of the top offensive players, not only in Green Bay’s offense, but in the league. I had the opportunity to watch him play college football at South Dakota State University, which is just 45 minutes away from where I live, and he has always shown elite upside. Even though he’s the highest-priced TE on DK, $5,700 is way too cheap for the targets and elite production he is giving us. I want to get exposure to the Carolina side too, and McMillan is my favorite way. They should be passing quite a bit in this game, and he is clearly a focal point of the Carolina offense.
ebeimfohr: Kyle Monangai + Ja’Marr Chase – With D’Andre Swift (and Roschon Johnson) out, the rookie Monangai is set to get all of the work he can handle in the Bears backfield. He’s arguably in the best matchup in the league for a running back, and it doesn’t hurt that Trey Hendrickson is out too. Meanwhile, Chase continues to rack up absolutely absurd target volume from Joe Flacco, with a whopping 42 targets in 2 games with Flacco at the helm.
ncorfield8k: Caleb Williams + Rome Odunze – Kyle Monangai will likely get all of the ownership, and it’s tough to argue he’s not a great play. But if he fails, it will likely because all of the scoring comes through the air, which makes the passing attack a strong leverage play. Even without the leverage angle, this is a duo that has displayed huge upside this season, and they are facing a Bengals defense that has allowed the 3rd-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.
Davis Mattek: Patrick Mahomes + Xavier Worthy + Rashee Rice – Since Worthy returned to the lineup, Mahomes is 1st in every passing and fantasy-points category. Touchdowns, yards, EPA, YPA…everything. While it has been Rice with back-to-back games of 20+ fantasy points, Worthy leads the team in route share and looked like the 1st option in his first 2 games back from injury without Rice. Playing Worthy allows you to get in better parts of the game tree vs. your opponents.
Jordan Vanek: J.J. McCarthy + Jalen Nailor – I understand stacking McCarthy with Justin Jefferson or Jordan Addison, but I want to make a case for Nailor as a sneaky option. He’s been running routes on over 70% of dropbacks, and with the Lions’ coverage likely focused on Jefferson and Addison, Nailor could benefit. He’s also shown chemistry with McCarthy against man coverage. With McCarthy, he’s averaged a 30% target per route run rate and a 3.00 yards per route run against man. Also, when you look at what other WR3s have done versus Detroit – Andrei Iosivas (82 yards), Tez Johnson (58 yards, TD), Rashod Bateman (63 yards, TD), and Marquise Brown (45 yards, 2 TDs) – there’s a clear path for production. This stack offers strong salary relief while still giving access to top plays from other premier games.
