NFL Week 10 Lines and Betting Picks 2020

NFLWK9

In Week 9, the Seahawks’ defense continued to give up bundles of points, Tua Tagovailoa earned his second win as a NFL starter, the Steelers escaped with a victory in Dallas to remain undefeated, and the Saints dominated the Buccaneers as Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders returned to the field.

Underdogs paid out handsomely as they covered 9 of 14 games, moving their record to 77-56 (58%) for the season. Meanwhile, Overs matched their Week 9 record of 9-5, which makes them a profitable 71-60 (54%) in 2020.

My Week 9 picks were on the wrong side of line movement for the Ravens yet Baltimore still managed to cover for us as they beat the Colts 24-10. We were able to get a bargain by betting on the Packers -3.5 before the line moved nearly four points by Thursday. It didn’t matter anyway; the Packers blew out the 49ers 34-17. However, our winning streak came to an end with Chiefs failing to beat the Panthers by 10 points. Still, it’s been a solid two weeks with a 5-1 NFL betting record.

With the 2020 Masters upon us, Sunday will be jam packed with sports betting action. NFL Week 10 lines are already moving fast, so let’s start locking in our favorite picks.

NFL Week 10 Lines

NFL Week 10 Betting Picks

Houston Texans at Cleveland Browns

Facing the Chiefs, Ravens, Steelers, Titans and Packers in five of their first seven weeks, the Texans started the season with the toughest schedule in the NFL Their 27-25 win against the Jaguars on Sunday wasn’t pretty but I still think the Texans are a bit undervalued and better than their 2-7 record might suggest.

The Texans could also be playing with Duke Johnson as their primary running back after David Johnson exited last week’s game with a concussion. But I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing for the Texans, especially against a Browns defense who has been bad against the pass.

Of course, the Browns defensive line led by Myles Garrett could cause problems for Deshaun Watson. Luckily, Watson can bide enough time to connect with Fuller and Cooks downfield. If not, he’ll have Duke to check down too. The main question is if the Texans’ defense will be able to stop the Browns offense, which is likely to return Nick Chubb. Whether it be on the ground or in the air, the Texans haven’t been able to stop anyone this season. The Browns’ offense, however, has been stagnant at times and quarterback Baker Mayfield inconsistent. This line opened -2.5 but has moved to -3.5 as nearly 90% of bets have piled into the Dawg Pound. I’ll happily take the points.

NFL Week 10 Betting Pick: Texans +3.5

Los Angeles Chargers at Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are 2-0 with Tua Tagovailoa behind center and are firmly in the playoff race with a 5-3 record for the season. Tua didn’t look all that great in his debut against the Rams; it was Miami’s defense that did most of the work. In Week 9, though, Tagovailoa played a more prominent role as the Dolphins upset the Cardinals 34-31. The rookie threw for 248 yards and connected for two touchdowns while gaining 35 yards with his legs.

As for the Chargers, their 2-6 record is a product of bad coaching decisions and a little bit of bad luck. Playing pretty much every team close, their record isn’t indicative of the team’s actual talent. They lost by only three points in both Kansas City and New Orleans. They have some disappointing losses, sure, but they have shown that they can compete with just about anyone. Fellow rookie quarterback Justin Herbert has a tough matchup against Dolphins’ cornerbacks Byron Jones and Xavien Howard, but he has shown plenty of composure in the pocket this season. While the public is warming up to the Dolphins, I’m ready to start fading them.

NFL Week 10 Betting Pick: Chargers +2.5
