What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Moneyball16: Large-field GPPs – I normally don’t think there is much correlation to pair PP2 defensemen with PP1 forwards, but this slate is the exception in a couple of key spots. Both Devon Toews and Mattias Ekholm get the vast majority of their value at 5-on-5, and they are often tied to the Nathan MacKinnon and Connor McDavid lines. I find myself often building stacks, pairing those cheaper defensemen with those studs to save money elsewhere. For corresponding reasons, I don’t stack Colorado or Edmonton defensemen that aren’t Toews, Cale Makar, Ekholm, or Evan Bouchard very often with their top line either. They just don’t play enough minutes with them.

boggslite: Large-field GPPs – Connor McDavid and the Oilers should continue to roll at home, and while I will have exposure to them, there are also several other teams to target on this slate. Colorado and Carolina are my top pivots, with Pittsburgh and Philadelphia also in play for me.

Joda: Large-field tournaments are my preferred format tonight. As much as I love Nathan MacKinnon, I will be looking elsewhere in tournaments, as I am not thrilled with his stack partners. Connor McDavid appeals more, particularly with an affordable Zach Hyman and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. You can also take advantage of the price on Leon Draisaitl in a power-play stack. For some cheaper stacks, I like Montreal’s top line with Andrei Vasilevskiy still out. Philadelphia’s top 6 is firmly in play for salary relief.

Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
