NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, April 18

Who is your favorite skater to spend up for in cash games?

TastefulTides: Jack Eichel
ezellmt: Jack Eichel
boggslite: Jack Eichel

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

TastefulTides: Elias Pettersson – Winnipeg is resting a few pieces tonight, so the Canucks should be able to take advantage. Pettersson might not see his usual amount of ice time, but that can be said for quite a few players. J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser have been ruled out, so we could see a few more opportunities for Pettersson to get on the scoresheet.

ezellmt: Nazem Kadri – People don’t like paying $7,400 on DK for Kadri, even in a great matchup against the Sharks. The price is probably warranted, however, as his recent form has been excellent. He has 9 points in his last 5 games, including a pair of 3+ point efforts. In the two prior meetings against the Sharks, he scored a pair of goals while collecting 10 shots on net.

boggslite: Kirill Kaprizov – Potentially overshadowed by Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, and Jack Eichel, Kaprizov makes for an intriguing play. One of the few elite playmakers not making the playoffs, Kaprizov should still see plenty of minutes as the Wild look to close out the season on a high note. He and his linemates are expensive, which should lower their ownership, but we have seen this trio put up some massive games this season.

What’s your hot take of the slate?
