Same game parlays are more popular than ever on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings. Follow along as Joe Cistaro builds his own Packers vs 49ers same game parlay ahead of their divisional round matchup on Saturday, January 20, 2024.

Saturday night features the only playoff matchup that has not happened in the regular season. The 49ers will welcome the Packers to San Francisco as big favorites. The Packers come off a shocking upset of the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round. The young Packers squad will face an even taller mountain on Saturday night. An uber-talented offense and a stalwart defense await Green Bay in San Francisco. Let’s build a same-game parlay ticket on FanDuel Sportsbook to sweat along with the NFC playoff action.

Packers vs. 49ers Same Game Parlay Preview

The 49ers are 9.5-point favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook at the time of writing. A slight majority of spread bets and betting handle have chosen the 49ers side — just enough to keep the betting spread steady throughout the week. With home-field advantage and arguably the most talent in the NFC, we should not be surprised to see such a big number.

The implied game total is up a point to 50.5 points. Per ScoresAndOdds, a great majority of betting action has selected the over for this game. After seeing the Green Bay offense explode against Dallas, perhaps sports bettors project the Packers to do just enough to supplement the high output from the 49ers.

For injuries, the Packers removed Christian Watson from the injury report, but Watson joins a very crowded receiving corps that truly shuffles in and out throughout the game. Romeo Doubs broke out last week for a big game but is now the third different Packer to exceed 100 receiving yards in as many weeks. Jaire Alexander and AJ Dillon are questionable for Saturday night. Even if Dillon returns, Aaron Jones will likely handle the bulk of the opportunities for the Green Bay backfield.

The 49ers’ offense is ready to roll, as Christian McCaffrey is completely healed after sitting in Week 18. Dre Greenlaw, Clelin Ferrell, and Logan Ryan are all questionable for the contest on the defensive side of the ball. The San Francisco offense was a well-oiled machine throughout the season. They are ready to go.

Speaking of offense, here are the key numbers for both offenses before the beginning of the playoffs:

Green Bay Offense
12th — 22.5 PPG
8th — 5.6 YPP
11th — 7.2 Passing YPA
9th — 4.3 Rushing YPA

San Francisco Offense
3rd — 28.9 PPG
1st — 6.6 YPP
1st — 9.3 Passing YPA
4th — 4.8 Rushing YPA

The big difference between the teams is on the defensive side of the football. The 49ers possess the third-best scoring defense in the NFL to match excellent numbers on a yards-per-play basis. The Packers finished the season with the 10th-best scoring defense but ranked 20th in yards per play on defense. Something will have to give. The wildly talented arsenal at the disposal of Brock Purdy could be the key to some regression for the Packers’ defense.

The Packers were able to put plenty of pressure on the Cowboys while playing zone. The 49ers will likely be more equipped as Brock Purdy has been excellent against pressure throughout the season. Christian McCaffrey is the clear difference maker for the 49ers. The ability to make consistent plays on the ground but also find holes in the zone and serve as a dynamic safety valve for Brock Purdy is going to keep the chains moving.

Let’s take a look at some betting props and build a ticket for Saturday night’s contest.

Same Game Parlay Picks for Packers at 49ers

San Francisco -9.5

The line held steady all week despite the upset last weekend. The exciting young Packers team could have earned enough respect last weekend to keep the betting market steady. For me, I am going to need more.

The 49ers are just too good in all phases of the game. As much as the Packers appear to be on the cusp of another long run of success, they are running into a championship-ready buzzsaw. While today’s NFL keeps us on our toes, I won’t be shocked to see a lopsided affair on Saturday night.

I am going to lay the points to start my betting card.

Christian McCaffrey Over 89.5 Rushing Yards

Let’s cut right to the chase. In the playoffs, superstars win football games. Christian McCaffrey was brought to the 49ers for this specific circumstance.

Christian McCaffrey is not Tony Pollard. The 49ers are going to feed the ball to their healthy superstar until they don’t need to feed him anymore. McCaffrey is looking at a pile of touches on Saturday night and is likely to bring an incredible level of efficiency with him. In a 49ers’ rout, I expect McCaffrey to have a big game.

Brandon Aiyuk Over 67.5 Receiving Yards

Speaking of stars, Brandon Aiyuk continues to produce like a superstar in a very busy offense. Despite his production, Aiyuk continues to go under the radar.

Even with McCaffrey as the engine of this offense, the ball is going to move through the air. Aiyuk has made so many big plays throughout the season. I anticipate a handful of big plays downfield for this offense. Aiyuk will see a couple of downfield targets. Hopefully, he will cash in on one for us.

Aaron Jones Under 68.5 Rushing Yards

The Packers will likely need to return the offensive favor if the over is going to hit. While this ticket isn’t too concerned with the over, I would expect the Packers to return the offensive favor through the air.

On the ground, I don’t anticipate Aaron Jones is going to find the same running room he did against Dallas. In the first half of last week’s game, Aaron Jones was not very efficient. The efficiency improved when the Packers were way ahead. I am not sure the Packers will find themselves in a similar situation in San Francisco.

I will take the under on Jones to complete my ticket.
