Monday, March 12th
We have a rare Monday night in the National Hockey League with an eventful eight games of action on deck. The Los Angeles Kings, Columbus Blue Jackets, Florida Panthers and the San Jose Sharks are your biggest favorites, and the Vancouver Canucks are the only team playing on consecutive nights.
GOALTENDER
NOTE: Make sure to check the RotoGrinders Starting Goalies Page page prior to game time, to confirm that the goalies listed below are starting.
Sergei Bobrovsky, Columbus Blue Jackets – I am perfectly fine rostering a number of goaltenders tonight in cash games (Sergei Bobrovsky, Jonathan Quick, Martin Jones or Roberto Luongo), but I am giving the edge to Sergei Bobrovsky. The Montreal Canadiens continue to throw plenty of pucks on goal (averaging 33.5 shots on goal per game, which is the eight-most in the National Hockey League this season), but they just cannot score (ranking 29th overall in goals per game), and with the Canadiens missing some key offensive players, I do not see them posing much of an offensive threat, putting Bobrovsky in a prime spot tonight in all formats. The Blue Jackets netminder is a lock for the win and he could very well end up being the highest scoring goalie on the evening.
