MLB PrizePicks Predictions Today

Shohei Ohtani – More Than 1.5 Total Bases

This is the most absurd projection from PrizePicks of the entire set of games. Ohtani has been on a tear, and there’s no one better versus right-handed pitching. I couldn’t be less worried about the matchup against Jose Butto, and Ohtani projects for 2.17 bases in the RotoGrinders projections. However, I’m expecting Shohei to crank at least one home run out of the park tonight (potentially two).

Yordan Alvarez – More Than 1.5 Total Bases

We’re going right back to the well with Yordan Alvarez for the second straight Saturday, as the Astros find themselves in arguably the best spot of the day against Trevor Williams and the Nationals’ weak bullpen. Williams gets hit hard by both sides of the plate, potentially leaving him with an early exit, and Alvarez boasts a .301 ISO against righties dating back to last season. He had a slow start to the year, but he’s picked it up lately. This is one of the best spots in which he’ll ever find himself.

DL Hall – Less Than 4.5 Strikeouts

It’s a fairly tough matchup for the young Hall tonight, especially for a lefty. The Cardinals aren’t the most potent offense, but they don’t strike out a ton, and they’re superior facing left-handed pitching. They only have 2 players in the projected lineup with K rates over 25%, and Hall has only had one game all season with more than 4 strikeouts. In that game, he had a whopping… five. He projects for 2.38 strikeouts today in the RotoGrinders projections and has a 75.66% win rate in the MLB Fantasy Pick’em Tool for PrizePicks, the highest of the entire day.
