Following another compelling night of hoops, the playoffs are back with a little 2-gamer on Wednesday night. The Heat will look to shock the world and draw even with the Celtics in Boston, while the Pelicans will look to level their series against the Thunder in Oklahoma City.

Needless to say, one of these game environments looks a little more trustworthy than the other. Boston is a massive 14.5-point favorite over Miami. Oklahoma City, meanwhile, is just a 7.5-point favorite over the visiting Pels.

Let’s win a little money over on PrizePicks, shall we?

NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today

Brandon Ingram More/Less Than 24.5 Points + Rebounds

Brandon Ingram returned just last week after missing several weeks with a knee injury. While the Pelicans likely would’ve preferred to limit his minutes and ramp him back up slowly, that plan went out the window as soon as Zion Williamson injured his hamstring in the Play-In Tournament. Ingram logged just 24 minutes in that game against the Lakers, but he’s played exactly 37 minutes in both games since Zion went out.

Ingram has struggled quite a bit since his return, which is understandable given the long injury layoff. He’s scored no more than 14 points in any of the 4 games since his return, while he shot just 5-for-17 in Game 1. That the Pelicans nearly won Game 1 in OKC with Ingram scuffling so much is a testament to how well the rest of the team played.

Without Zion though, he’s going to have to keep shooting. Ingram’s usage is up by 4.6% in the minutes he’s played without Zion this season, while he’s also enjoyed a solid 8.6% spike in assist rate. The shots have to start falling eventually, as Ingram shot better than 49% from the field during the regular season.

CJ McCollum More/Less Than 35 Fantasy Points

CJ McCollum hasn’t been at his best in recent games either. McCollum finished with 20 points in 39 minutes on Sunday, but he converted just 9 of his 22 shots from the field.

However, McCollum is another guy who typically gets a major boost with Zion out. McCollum’s 3.3% usage boost is the 2nd highest of any Pelican behind Ingram, while he’s also seen a passable 2.4% assist rate improvement. Oklahoma City certainly isn’t an easy matchup given their gaggle of useful wing defenders, but Willie Green really has no choice but to run McCollum out there for 40ish minutes on a nightly basis.

McCollum managed to get to nearly 36 FanDuel points in the last game despite not playing particularly well. I expect tonight’s game to be a higher-scoring affair than the 94-92 final score we got in Game 1, and I doubt McCollum’s shooting struggles will continue.

Kristaps Porzingis More/Less Than 26.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

The Celtics didn’t even have to break a sweat en route to their 114-94 win over the Heat in Game 1, and Miami is going to struggle to keep pace in this series with Jimmy Butler sidelined. We don’t often see playoff games with 2-touchdown point spreads, but these teams are occupying different stratospheres right now.

Boston traded for Kristaps Porzingis over the summer due, in part, to their disappointing loss to Miami in last year’s postseason. Porzingis has been a reliable difference-maker throughout his first season in town, as he averaged 20.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2 assists per game during the regular season.

Will he play enough minutes to top 26.5 combined points, rebounds, and assists tonight? Considering he played 34 minutes in the blowout win on Sunday, I like his chances.
