PrizePicks NBA Player Picks Today: Top Plays for December 12th

After a chaotic 13-game NBA DFS slate last night, things are a lot calmer on Tuesday, December 12th, with only 5 games on tap. Despite the smaller slate, there are still plenty of injuries to account for, including Kevin Durant. The value in his absence opens up some potential NBA PrizePicks predictions that should help us be profitable tonight.

If you’re new to the site, be sure to take advantage of our special PrizePicks promo code. With the code “GRINDERS,” you can claim a 100% match bonus on your first deposit of up to $100.

Remember, you can also keep tabs on the best PrizePicks picks of the day with our Fantasy Pick’em Tool. We’re constantly updating this throughout the day to account for the latest news, but there’s still value to be found earlier in the afternoon as well.

NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today

Jayson Tatum – More Than 26.5 Points

While the game environment between the Celtics vs. Cavaliers isn’t ideal for fantasy production, there are still several PrizePicks projections for players within the game that are listed far too low. Firstly, we have Jayson Tatum. The Celtics star is averaging 27.5 points per game so far this season and has shown all season that 21-27 is his consistent low-end outcome, while he has a ceiling of 50+ real points in any given matchup. He projects for more than 27 points tonight in the RotoGrinders projections, and if you jump on Tatum early enough in the day, PrizePicks has him included as a discounted Taco Tuesday play.

Devin Booker – More Than 5.5 Rebounds

The Phoenix Suns have already ruled out Kevin Durant tonight. Although Bradley Beal is finally back in the lineup, the Suns still are struggling to get their Big 3 together on the court at the same time. The RotoGrinders projections have Booker just under 7 rebounds tonight, well eclipsing his projected total on PrizePicks. He receives an increase in rebounding rate without Durant on the floor and already averages 6.3 rebounds per game on the season. This number is simply too low for Booker’s situation, and he will likely be heavily involved in a close spread at home against the Warriors.

Donovan Mitchell – More Than 40.5 Fantasy Points

The second target in the slow, defensive game featuring the Celtics and Cavaliers is Donovan Mitchell. Although the Celtics are one of the toughest matchups in basketball, this number doesn’t really make sense for Mitchell. He’s averaging more than 47.5 fantasy points per game so far this season, and even though it’s a tough spot, he still projects for 47.22 fantasy points tonight in the RotoGrinders projections. Mitchell is far too good of a player for such a low PrizePicks projection, and this is my favorite DFS Pick’em play of the night.
