PrizePicks NBA Player Picks Today: Top Plays for December 5th

We’ve been HOT over the last few days for the NBA PrizePicks prediction articles, but things get a lot tougher tonight with the In-Season Tournament nearing a close. There are only 2 games to choose from on Tuesday, December 5th. While there’s no doubt the tournament has been a blast, these 2-game slates are not ideal. However, there are still plenty of opportunities for some profitable PrizePicks predictions.
If you’re new to the site, be sure to take advantage of our special PrizePicks promo code. With the code “GRINDERS,” you can claim a 100% match bonus on your first deposit of up to $100.

NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today
Julius Randle – More Than 39.5 Fantasy Points
While we can expect tough, hard-fought games toward the end of the In-Season tournament, there’s one team on the slate that has a much better matchup than anyone else on the board. The New York Knicks have an implied team above their season average and face off against the Bucks, who are 5th in the NBA in pace. This is a massive upgrade for the Knicks, who are near the bottom of the league playing at the 2nd-slowest pace of any team in basketball. The faster matchup should strongly benefit Randle, who has always been able to push the ball in transition. He projects for nearly 46 fantasy points in the RotoGrinders projections and is my favorite NBA PrizePicks prediction on the slate.
- Play: Randle – More Than 39.5 Fantasy Points
Mitchell Robinson – More Than 16.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
With players like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez on the other side, the Knicks’ bigs are going to have to play big minutes. Whether it was from the game going small or because he got into foul trouble, Robinson always used to be a great point-per-minute producer who couldn’t stay on the court long enough to make it worth it. This season, it’s a totally different story. He’s averaging about 30 minutes per game, more than 5 minutes more than his career average. He projects for 18.17 points, rebounds, and assists in the RotoGrinders projections and will be in for huge minutes as long as he can stay out of foul trouble, as they’ll need him to defend Giannis inside.
- Play: Robinson – More Than 16.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Grayson Allen – More Than 9.5 Points
This one is the riskiest of the bunch but has the potential to be an absolute smash play if Eric Gordon were to miss. Gordon is currently listed as questionable and missed the last game due to injury. With Gordon currently listed in the projections, Allen is still expected to score double-digit points. He’s been playing solid minutes without Bradley Beal and is perfectly fine tonight if Gordon is in. However, if Gordon misses the game, Allen’s NBA PrizePicks projection would rise far higher than it currently is.
- Play: Allen – More Than 9.5 Points
