NBA PrizePicks Predictions Today
Victor Wembanyama – More Than 33.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
The Spurs should be shorthanded tonight with multiple players listed as questionable and both Keldon Johnson and Tre Jones already ruled out. These numbers on PrizePicks were likely too low for Wemby regardless, but with the Spurs under-manned, we need to jump on this one quickly. Wembanyama had a slow start to the season but has looked dominant recently, eclipsing this number the majority of the time. The peripherals always seem to be there and all that we have to worry about is his shot falling, but he should get plenty of opportunity to put the ball in the hoop with extended minutes tonight in a showdown against fellow rookie Chet Holmgren.
- Play: Wembanyama – More Than 33.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Michael Porter Jr. – More Than 7.5 Rebounds
With Jamal Murray off the court, the Nuggets offense changes. Nikola Jokic becomes the team’s main point guard, leaving Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter Jr. with plenty of opportunities to collect rebounds. Tonight, Porter projects for more than 9 rebounds in the RotoGrinders projections, and the Nuggets are once again without Jamal Murray. Porter has had no less than 8 rebounds in 3-straight games without Murray, and we should expect that to continue tonight against the Clippers.
- Play: Porter – More Than 7.5 Rebounds
Aaron Gordon – More Than 7.5 Rebounds
Everything we just said about Michael Porter we can just repeat here for Aaron Gordon. While he doesn’t project for quite as many rebounds as Michael Porter in the RotoGrinders projections, he sees the same boost when Jamal Murray is off the court and Nikola Jokic is in point guard mode. He’s had double-digit rebounds in 3 of his last 4 games, with the only game below 10 still eclipsing the 7.5 number set by PrizePicks for tonight’s NBA DFS Pick’em predictions. As long as Murray is out, Gordon should keep rebounding at a high pace, and I want to capitalize before it’s too late.
- Play: Gordon – More Than 7.5 Rebounds
Jerami Grant – More Than 25.5 Points
These poor, poor Blazers. Not only were they already a young, tanking team, but the injuries have taken that to a whole new level. It’s rare we see teams this bare this early in the season, as that’s usually reserved for later in the year NBA DFS. However, the opportunity has opened up for Jerami Grant to play an obscene amount of minutes. He’s played at least 40 minutes in 3 of his last 4 games, while scoring at least 26 points in 3 of 4 as well. He’s going to get all the opportunity in the world to shoot as much as he wants, and as long as he puts the ball in the hoop with a decent percentage, he should easily surpass this number on NBA PrizePicks. Grant is projected for nearly 29 points in the RotoGrinders projections tonight and I really love his chances with the large amount of minutes he’s playing.
- Play: Grant – More Than 25.5 Points
