Rams vs. Lions NFL Player Props – Wild Card Round

Cooper Kupp OVER 5.5 Receptions (-150), FanDuel

Cooper Kupp has dealt with a number of injuries this season, but he seems to finally be healthy heading into the postseason. In his final five regular season games, Kupp had at least 6 receptions four times, with the lone exception coming in Week 17 against the Giants on the road. Detroit’s secondary unit has been abysmal all season, ranking 23rd in DVOA against top receivers and 20th in DVOA against second options in the opponent’s passing game. Kupp should be plenty busy on Sunday in what is expected to be a high-scoring affair. Bettors can also play Kupp at OVER 6.5 receptions at other sportsbooks if looking for a ladder or plus-money opportunity.

Jared Goff OVER 258.5 Passing Yards (-110), FanDuel

In 8 home games during the regular season, Jared Goff had at least 272 passing yards five times and never fewer than 236 passing yards. He has long been known for his ability to play at a high level at home, and that should manifest itself again on Sunday in a favorable matchup against the Rams. Los Angeles went 7-1 after their bye week, but they ranked only 13th in defensive EPA/play during the 7 games that their starters played. During that stretch, they allowed more than 300 passing yards to Tyrod Taylor, Derek Carr, and Lamar Jackson – none of whom are decidedly better throwing the football in a dome than Goff. This market number is simply too low here.

Matthew Stafford OVER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-136), FanDuel

Matthew Stafford had a slow start to 2023, but he turned on the jets during the second-half of the campaign after his weapons returned to full health. From Week 12 to Week 17, Stafford posted a 15-to-3 touchdown-to-interception ratio, with fewer than 1 touchdown pass in only one of those 6 games. Among quarterbacks with at least 100 plays in that stretch, Stafford ranked 3rd in EPA/play and 4th in success rate – both indicators that he was playing at a high level. Detroit’s run defense has been among the best in the NFL in recent weeks, making it more likely that the Rams are going to be scoring through the air than on the ground in this matchup.
