Primetime Parlay: Ravens vs. Titans Same Game Parlay Picks

Last year, ScoresAndOdds’ ParlayIQ tool helped us create a variety of fun same game parlay tickets throughout the NFL season. Through simulations, the tool examines the potential value various betting lines offer on sports betting sites. Along with the simulations, we will examine stats, roster news, trends, player props, and betting odds across sports betting sites to find the best price for our same game parlay ticket. For this article, we build a same-game parlay for the Baltimore Ravens versus the Tennessee Titans in London.

The NFL continues in England with another morning tilt on Sunday. The Baltimore Ravens will play the Tennessee Titans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. COYS! The Titans are technically the home team after a loss to the Colts in Week 5. The Titans will look to start scoring points but will be faced with the very daunting task of doing so against one of the top defenses in the NFL. The Ravens are 3-2 after a puzzling loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. We begin with betting odds and statistics before building our SGP on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Ravens vs. Titans Same Game Parlay

You can bet the Ravens at -4.5 on FanDuel at the time of this writing. The implied game total is 42.5 after opening at 45.5 points to begin the week. The total moved all the way down to 40.5 points before being bet back up to 42.5. Per SAO, 60% of the betting handle was spent on the over.

As for the spread, 56% of tickets were printed for the Ravens’ side. Yet 59% of the handle chose the Tennessee Titans. With two teams that struggle to score, we should not be surprised that the sharper money is being bet in favor of a close game. Nobody would be shocked if Justin Tucker hit a game-winning field goal to end the game.

Treylon Burks did not travel with the Titans. The Titans’ passing game continues to struggle and continues to be overused. Tennessee cannot seem to get Derrick Henry going this season and often found themselves in negative game scripts to start the season. This is not the formula coach Mike Vrabel would prefer for the Titans to succeed. For the Ravens, both Odell Beckham and Jadeveon Clowney were removed from the injury report and should play. Keaton Mitchell, UDFA running back, was designated to return and could be a spark for the Ravens that continue to struggle for a solution at the running back position.

Despite the injury woes, the Ravens remain efficient on the ground. Of course, Lamar’s scampering about the field helps a team’s rushing numbers. The Titans and Ravens both stuff opposing run games, so the Ravens will likely look to move the ball through the air. The Ravens are in the middle of the NFL pack with regard to scoring on offense, as are the Titans. Lamar and company will likely need to air it out to move the ball against one of the best run-stopping defenses in the NFL.

The Titans only average 4.2 yards per carry on the ground and have only rushed the ball 25.2 times per game in 2023. With Derrick Henry the focal point of this offense, there is no doubt that Tennessee would love to see that number elevated. Unfortunately, the Titans will face a Ravens’ defense that ranks in the top ten in rushing yards per attempt and ranks first in yards per pass attempt. An unenviable task is ahead of the Titans, who will likely need the ball to bounce their way a few times to get ahead in this game.

With that said, the Ravens continue to keep opponents in games and struggle to score points. Will the Ravens be able to blow the Titans out of the water? Let’s take a look at what our simulations say about this contest in London.

Same Game Parlay Picks for London Series

Tennessee Titans +4.5

ParlayIQ is very bullish on the Titans’ point spread. Almost every other sports betting site posts this game with a 5.5-point spread. If that is any indication of things to come, we might want to wait to place this bet and get the Titans at a better number. In any event, this game just reeks of a close game that will go down to the wire.

Neither team lights up the scoreboard, and both teams want to run the football. The problem is — for both teams — that the defenses do not allow any breathing room to opposing rushing attacks. Lamar Jackson will need to move the ball through the air and — gasp — so will Ryan Tannehill. Yikes.

I am not sure I can jump on the over for this game and would prefer to back ParlayIQ and hope for a close game. Give me the points.

Lamar Jackson Over 42.5 Rushing Yards

With the Ravens likely struggling to run the football, the Ravens might opt to let Lamar Jackson throw the ball around earlier in the contest. The Ravens cannot afford another loss, as the Bengals seem to be getting back on track. There is no need to spend time running into a wall.

Instead, when the Ravens choose passing packages or plays, Lamar could punish the Titans in man coverage. The moment the Titans turn their backs, Lamar will be full speed ahead. The Ravens will also very likely design run plays for the dynamic quarterback. ParlayIQ figures this over for more than 65% of simulations.

Jon Harbaugh is too intelligent to keep the Titans in this game by trading failed running attempts for three quarters. I won’t be shocked to see the Ravens coming out throwing immediately. If so, Lamar will find space to exceed this number.

Tyjae Spears Over 16.5 Receiving Yards

Finally, Tyjae Spears continues to see extra work, as the Titans fail to get ahead of the chains on offense. The third-down back for a team that can’t convert first downs will be on the field more than Mike Vrabel wants him to be. Spears saw five targets last week and could be in for more work if the Titans cannot find their footing.

Furthermore, the Titans do not have many explosive weapons on the outside besides DeAndre Hopkins. While Hopkins will see his share of targets, Spears can be used out of the backfield as a change-of-pace option against what is a very, very stingy passing defense. Whether the game is close or the Titans trail, I anticipate Spears continues to see a bigger volume of opportunities. I love this over — as does ParlayIQ.
