Rise & Grind: Thursday, September 22nd
Merry Thursday and welcome back to yet another edition of the Rise & Grind, your daily spot to find all things daily fantasy sports. It’s Thursday, which can only mean one thing: the NFL is back in our lives again. Nothing better than a good Thursday Night Football game to get your weekend started.
We are here to get you all set up for what looks to be an intriguing matchup between the Houston Texans vs. the New England Patriots. So sit back, sip up your cup of Joe and get ready, because it’s gonna be a wild one. But first things first. Let’s take a look back at yesterday and see what unfolded.
Wednesday’s Winners
First let’s dive into one of our big winners last night, bentecshe scored a mighty 268.90 points claiming victory over the second place finisher tayhen11st. He got HUGE games out of not only his pitcher Corey Kluber but also his catcher Gary Sanchez, who continues shattering baseballs day-to-day. As you can see below the Philadelphia Phillies wrecked Chris Sale and again were found in winning GPP lineups like the one here in the $115K Wed MLB Squeeze on FanDuel. Congratulations to bentecshe and all the other winners tonight.

The DFS Showdown – Part II – Team Cash vs Team Crazy
If you guys missed my piece on this current phenomenon going on here at RotoGrinders, let me tell you what’s up.
Basically, there’s a good old fashioned best-of-seven DFS battle, squaring up between Team Cash (Derek Carty & Dean78904) vs Team Crazy (TheSeigeDFS & Stevietpfl).
The day after Team Cash ran away with game one of this showdown, we have the second installment. This time though it was actually a nailbiter, thanks to some woeful pitching choices by Team Cash, who got burned by “The Ace of The Slate”, Mr. Chris Sale.
With Sale’s $14,000, one-DK point outing, Team Crazy, aka Team Cray Cray as I like to call them, thought they had it in the bag. I mean, you couldn’t ask for a better head start…right?
Wrong. Team Cash got some pick-me-up from their catcher; that’s right I said their catcher – Salvador Perez had an insane night (for him at least), compiling 19 DraftKings points with two hits, a home run and two runs batted in.
Team Crazy went with their ace Corey Kluber, who had a really good outing against the Kansas City Royals, giving up just two runs and striking out nine poor souls and finishing with an impressive 27.45 DK & 52 FD points. Which fared pretty well for them, besides for the – let’s count em, one, two, three zeros they got from Carlos Gomez, Josh Bell and Manny Machado.
What clinched the win you ask? A well struck single to left field by Javier Baez sealed it for Team Cash; those three points are what separated them for good.
Final score Team Cash – 95.75 Team Crazy – 93.20
So Team Cash, now with a commanding 2-0 lead in this best-of-seven series between these two.
The next head-to-head is scheduled this Friday, so keep an eye out for round three.
Check out who played who, and how they did.
As these two teams went at it, there was another battle going on over on Twitter. That’s right an all out Twitter war between the two teams smothered my timeline. Here are snip-its of my faves. Mainly from the losing squad.
When it was all said and done TheSeigeDFS had his final tilt, right there in front of his 6,424 followers.

All you have to do is guess the amount of FanDuel points that Will Fuller of the Houston Texans will put up in this Thursday Night Football game against the undefeated New England Patriots.
