In Case You Missed It
We Goin’ to Da Ship – Congratulations are in order to billsfan777. I couldn’t be more excited for him and every other Bills fan. ESPN is reporting that the Bills have traded LB Kiko Alonso to the Eagles for LeSean MCoy. This is good news right? What fan wouldn’t want their team to trade for an aging RB in decline? Oh yeah, and billsfan777 also won the WFHC Qualifier on DraftKings. That’s almost as exciting as the McCoy trade. Sounds like you had a good day Bills.
Linsanity is Back! – If you follow NBA, you know there is no player more exciting than Jeremy Lin when he is on fire. I’m sure we all remember those two weeks that earned him the nickname “Linsanity”. Well guess what: Linsanity is back! Last night, Lin scored 23 points en route to a 45 FanDuel point night. Avoid Lin at your own risk tonight. Linsanity is in full effect right now.
Big Winners – While yesterday was a good day for Bills fans and Lin fans, several Grinders also had nice nights. Drolson22 took second in the FanDuel Slam, and third in the Monster. Ganondorf continued his heater, taking second in the Monster. Over on DraftKings, markgenorex won the 3-Ball for the second night in a row. Inappropriate Times to DFS – From time to time, I like to highlight a fun or informative forum thread in this space. Grinder smutpeddlers wants to know if your wedding day is an appropriate time to fire in a few DFS lineups. What other possibly inappropriate places or times have you partaken in DFS? Million Dollar Slam – I’m sure you have already heard by now that FanDuel is running a $1,000,000 Slam tonight. Someone is going to take home $100,000 off a $25 dollar investment. I apologize now if this column is NBA centric today, but this is the biggest thing going tonight. As of this writing, the contest is already 2/3 full, so be sure and reserve your entries now if you haven’t already.
NBA Tonight – With 13 games on the schedule, we have all kinds of options to choose from. Notorious already has his First Look posted. STLCardinals84 has a Starting Five and Hoop2410 has some GPP Plays for you. Later today, Beermakersfan will be dropping by with a six pack, Notorious will have a detailed look at every game in the Grind Down, and three hours of analysis will start at 3:30 PM EST on GrindersLive.
#NarrativeStreet – While the pieces I just mentioned are great places to find info, if you want to win a GPP tonight you will have to dig a little deeper. Tonight on #NarrativeStreet you will find the picks that have that little extra motivation you need. While it’s not a #BobbleheadNight, the Spurs are giving away a limited edition player poster tonight. The bad news is this is the Spurs, and they won’t tell us which player. Be on the lookout for a mystery Spur tonight who gets the #PosterNight bump. On the #BirthdayGame front, Draymond Green chose this day to be born in 1990. Tonight, in honor or #LinSanity we will forgo the #Revenge narrative and simply anoint Jeremy Lin as the go-to pick. Fire up Green, Lin and one Spur with confidence tonight and remember narratives never lie (unless they do).
NHL Tonight – With only four games on the ice, tonight NHL will have to take a backseat. If you are one of those “zig when everyone else zags” kind of people, we still have you covered. jmbwngfn has his NHL Daily Plays posted already. CBB Tonight – While you can’t win $100,000 in CBB, there are still some pretty decent prizes to be had tonight. There are 16 games to choose from and Varncass will have you covered with his CBB Grind Down for incentive members.
PGA Action – With so much going on, sometimes people forget about golf. There is plenty of money to be won in PGA DFS though. Here at RotoGrinders we have two of the best in the game offering picks. Be sure to check out Notorious picks, and Gibbathy’s picks for the WGC, which locks tomorrow morning at 11 AM EST.
