Tuesday’s Big Winners
With our first football-less day of the week we pivoted to the only sport available yesterday, MLB. With a lot of us tuning out baseball for football, we seem to forget that there’s still big money to win. Last night lynch303 took home the big prize in the DraftKings MLB $250K SUPER SLURVE contest. Not only did lynch303 score the $50k first prize but he also nabbed second place too with the same lineup but with different outfielders. The pitching combination of J.A. Happ and Michael Pineda saved him salary to have just enough of the Coors game plus Odubel Herrera and his 36 DK points accumulated from his three-hit, two-stolen base affair that scored him this huge win. The DFS Showdown – Cash vs GPP
If you haven’t heard about the challenge that went down on GrindersLive yesterday, let me fill you in. Last night Dean78904 challenged Stevietpfl with a $50 head-to-head captioned “Free Money Tuesday” and it was immediately on. That’s when the two teams were formed – Team Cash (Derek Carty & Dean78904) vs.Team Crazy (Stevietpfl & TheSeigeDfs). Both teams then hijacked their own shows and centered their content on who they will be rostering specifically for this matchup.

Of course as you know on a Coors slate, anything could happen.
So what actually did happen?
Jose Fernandez happened. He lit up the k-zone with a monstrous 12 strikeout performance and finishing with a 44.2 in DraftKings and a whopping 72 FanDuel points. Making it pretty much impossible to cash big without him. As you can see below, the cash guys roped him in as their SP1, and it just so happened to be one of those days where paying up for the ace of the slate actually worked out. Team Cash also got a huge night out of one of their outfielders out in Coors, Jedd Gyorko from the St. Louis Cardinals, with a nice 25 DraftKings points, and that catapulted Team Cash to a complete an utter shellacking.
Final score – Team Cash : 155.10 1-0 Team Crazy : 109.05 0-1
