Sports Info Solutions: MLB DFS Advice for Wednesday, August 1st

America’s pastime and daily fantasy sports are a perfect fit with an overload of data and statistics to analyze before making your lineup selections.
Because of the amount of information available to the DFS player, it can be a bit overwhelming, so I’ve tried to help you out by recommending a number of well-priced options by using Sports Info Solutions’ “SIS Model 3”.
SIS Model 3 gives DFS players an edge when setting their lineups as it uses the most expansive and accurate wealth of baseball data to create a tested DFS algorithm. You can learn more about the development of the algorithm in the RotoGrinders Marketplace.
Pitching Option

Luke Weaver, St. Louis Cardinals (FD Price $7,000)
Weaver has given up just eight earned runs in his last four starts. Colorado is a completely different offense away from Coors Field with a .301 wOBA and a high K% (24.0).
Hitting Options
C/1B) Lucas Duda, Kansas City Royals (FD Price $2,600)
Of his 18 extra base hits, 16 has been against RHP where he has managed a .335 wOBA.
2B) Ben Zobrist, Chicago Cubs (FD Price $2,600)
Zobrist has been most productive on the road as a LHB, posting a stunning .456 wOBA. He should be a steal at this price.
3B) Manny Machado, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD Price $4,400)
Machado owns a .513 wOBA against RHP at home. The change of teams hasn’t done anything to change his swing (.304 BA, .918 OPS in 11 games as a Dodger) and he slammed a home run in his first game in Dodger Stadium as a member of the home team.
SS) Adalberto Mondesi, Kansas City Royals (FD Price $2,800)
The 23-year-old switch-hitter is much better as a LHB with a .299 BA and .330 wOBA from that side of the plate.
OF) Alex Gordon, Kansas City Royals (FD Price $2,300)
It’s been a few years since he was an All-Star, but he’s still managed a .362 wOBA against RHP on the road.
OF) Daniel Palka, Chicago White Sox (FD Price $2,900)
Palka likes hitting at home (.355 wOBA), particularly against RHP (.358 wOBA) and was swinging a hot bat in July (.387 wOBA). He’ll face Jakob Junis, who has been vulnerable to LHB (.355 wOBA), particularly on the road (.386 wOBA).
OF) Mike Trout, Los Angeles Angels (FD Price $5,300)
Trout hits everything (.448 wOBA), but even that ridiculous number rises on the road against RHP (.475 wOBA).
UTIL) Anthony Rizzo, Chicago Cubs (FD Price $4,000)
The move to the leadoff spot has been magic for Rizzo, who has produced at a .464 wOBA from the top of the lineup. He owns an overall .360 wOBA against RHP even after a terribly slow start this season.
Stacking Option
When it comes time to draft a fantasy baseball team in DFS, stacking is a widely accepted strategy. There’s a reason: it works. If you want to win big, you will need a gigantic score, and stacking makes it easier to rack up the points because the scoring of batters in a given lineup is interrelated. Batters reaching base allows the hitters down the line to drive them in, creating something of a snowball effect.
Chicago Cubs – Rizzo and Zobrist make a good start, then mix in Jason Heyward, who just missed making our lineup, and Kyle Schwarber, and stir.
