The Field Report: Week 15
The Field Report is designed to give you a look into the most popular plays from FanDuel’s Thursday Night action. In order to truly separate your entry from the rest of the field, you need to create a unique roster. In GPP’s especially, playing along with the rest of your opponents won’t get you very far. The rules are much different in H2H’s and 50/50’s, but in tournaments where you need to beat ALL of your opponents (e.g. major qualifiers), you need to take risks and use a player or two that you know will be lightly owned. The percentages in the tables below come from a $2 250-man tournament (top 10.8% paid). Since this data comes from Thursday contests, the ownership percentages for the players listed below will be a bit higher on average for Sunday contests.

It’s crazy to think we have just three weeks of regular season football remaining, but here we are in Week 15. The ownership percentages this week may look lower than usual, but that is due to the high percentage of the field that had exposure to the Chargers/Broncos game on Thursday night. The Broncos are always a popular target, and so too is the team they play simply because the game is almost always high-scoring. A good portion of the field was on both quarterbacks, both Denver RB’s, Danny Woodhead, Keenan Allen, and the two active Denver WR’s. Tight ends from both sides (Julius Thomas, Antonio Gates and Jacob Tamme) were also popular plays. One thing to keep in mind when using this information as a research tool is that this article is Fanduel specific; the popular plays this week on sites with sharp pricing (such as Draftstreet) will usually be different, so these ownership percentages are by no means industry wide.
Note: All players are listed by percentage owned inside the tables. Any player owned by more than 5% of the field will be included.
