ScoresAndOdds’ ParlayIQ tool utilizes thousands of simulations of RotoGrinders’ NFL Statistical projections to construct profitable same game parlays across sports betting sites. We will examine stats, roster news, trends, player props and betting odds across sportsbooks to pick the most profitable combination of outcomes for primetime NFL matchups. Today, we build a Sunday Night Football same game parlay for the Titans vs Chiefs.
Happy Football Sunday, everyone. Hopefully, the extra hour of sleep today keeps you awake for another typical primetime barnburner offered by the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs play host to the Titans in what looks like a very one-sided affair on paper. Can the Titans keep this game competitive? Will King Henry emerge and give the Chiefs fits at home? Regardless, we are going to come up with a fun same-game parlay ticket on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Same Game Parlay for Titans vs. Chiefs
The Chiefs are 12.5-point favorites on Fanduel as of Sunday morning. The implied game total rests at 45.5 points. Both the point spread and implied game total feature -110 prices on both sides. For a more thorough preview of the contest, check out our Sunday Night Football article.
Per SAO, 53% of betting tickets sit with the Titans while 56% of the money rests on the Chiefs’ side. A greater disparity lies with the game total as most of the tickets (62%) were printed for the over while a whopping 85% of the money is on the Chiefs’ side. Money moves the number as the spread has climbed towards the Chiefs despite the ticket volume.
As for injuries, the Chiefs seem to enter tonight with a clean bill of health. Cornerback, Trent McDuffie, returns from a Week 1 injury while Kadarius Toney seems likely to suit up for the contest after being acquired from the Giants. I wouldn’t anticipate Toney seeing a high volume of plays or opportunity, yet, but wouldn’t be shocked to see him touch the ball on a couple of designed plays.
The Titans have a huge question mark with Ryan Tannehill being questionable to play and a game-time decision for the Sunday night affair. Derrick Henry popped up on the injury report but was absent from the final report. He will likely be heavily featured in a game where the Titans will need to play keep-away from Patrick Mahomes and the explosive Kansas City offense.
This game looks very one-sided on paper, especially in Kansas City. That said, we have seen the Tennessee run-heavy formula work against the Chiefs in the past. If Tannehill goes, the Titans will lean on their big-time running back to carry them throughout the contest.
Same Game Parlay Picks – Titans & Chiefs Props
NOTE: At the time of this writing, the only Titans props offered on FanDuel Sportsbook are rushing props for Derrick Henry.
Derrick Henry Over 88.5 Rushing Yards
Well, if this game is even remotely close to a contest, Derrick Henry needs to have himself an evening. ParlayIQ and all of our simulations suggest that Henry is going to go over this total. Even without Ryan Tannehill, Henry will need to touch the ball 20+ times for the Titans’ to have a prayer of keeping this game close.
As Henry goes, the Chiefs stay on the sideline. If we are scripting this over, I need to be cognizant of the impact this would have on the Chiefs’ offense and their props. Having said that, I think Henry gets his 100 yards and ParlayIQ agrees with me. We open with the King.
Jerick McKinnon Over 13.5 Receiving Yards
McKinnon has three straight contests with three targets. In all three, McKinnon caught two of those targets to go north of this receiving prop.
The Titans allowed the sixth-most receptions to the running back position over their seven contests. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City offense have matured over the years, as Mahomes has often looked to take the guaranteed short yardage instead of hoying every pass down the field. I think McKinnon easily exceeds this total on a similar volume, tonight. ParlayIQ features 61% of simulations that agree with the addition of this leg.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire Over 25.5 Rushing Yards
Given the nature of this game and the script written by the betting spread, then we can assume that the Kansas City Chiefs need to continue offering a similar volume to their stable of running backs. Pacheco out-carried CEH last week, but given the nature of this game, both backs should see enough volume to exceed their individual rushing props.
CEH is over this number in back-to-back contests, seeing six carries last weekend. The shift to Pacheco seems to be real but in a positive game script, Andy Reid might want to spread the touches around. I think Edwards-Helaire gets just enough volume to creep over this modest total. ParlayIQ does not agree and has this prop hitting less than half of the time. We will take a hit to our expected value by including this but I am struggling to see a path with so few props available at this time.
Derrick Henry Anytime Touchdown
Well, we might as well go all in on the only Titan available to us. If Tennessee is to score a touchdown in this game, the high likelihood is that it is Derrick Henry who crosses the goal line.
I don’t need to waste your time weighing the merits of Derrick Henry scoring. Including this prop is very much a roll of the dice but with so few Titans’ props available to me, I feel most confident riding the King.

FanDuel Sportsbook gives us a very slight bump. I am not crazy about the small discrepancy but given the available props, we’ll take it.
