NFL DFS Report: Week 7 High Point Totals

Implied team totals from NFL odds are a solid foundational baseline for NFL DFS scoring opportunity each week. We can often make highly educated assessments on DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo when we properly understand where the NFL betting market sets the line for each game. In this article, we’ll open the GridironIQ betting tab and overview some key games with high Week 7 point totals. We’ll look for teams that can provide us high expectations for fantasy point production for the upcoming week. Our projections and projected ownership will be partially influenced by these data points, and we’ll want to be sure we know where the U.S. sportsbooks stand for each and every Week 7 game.

NFL Week 7 High Point Totals

Green Bay Packers

Opponent: Houston Texans
Game Total: 57.5
Team Total: 30.5
Point Spread: -3.5
MoneyLine: -190

After disappointing fantasy owners in Week 6, the Green Bay Packers will travel to Houston and look to rebound offensively against a Texans defense that gave up 42 points in OT to Tennessee last week. Houston’s biggest defensive weakness is stopping the run, which makes this a strong spot for Aaron Jones who has put up spiked weeks in the past thanks to his versatility as a pass-catcher. This also sets up as a good bounceback spot for Davante Adams who was only able to catch 6-of-10 targets for 61 yards in his first game back from injury. Houston’s offensive production remains fairly concentrated which makes this an easy game to stack.

Atlanta Falcons

Opponent: Detroit Lions
Game Total: 56.5
Team Total: 28.75
Point Spread: -2
MoneyLine: -131

Finally, with Julio Jones back in the lineup, the Atlanta Falcons offense went berserk in Week 6 and hung 40 points on the Minnesota Vikings. Matt Ryan continues to be a tournament option on a weekly basis with Jones and Calvin Ridley his two best stack candidates. However, don’t be surprised if this ends up being a Todd Gurley game as the Lions rank 30th in rush defense DVOA this season. Gurley hasn’t been efficient with his touches this season but he has multi-touchdown upside on a weekly basis. On the Detroit side of the ball, Kenny Golladay is the top bring back option for game stacks while TJ Hockenson rates well at a weak TE position.

Seattle Seahawks

Opponent: Arizona Cardinals
Game Total: 56
Team Total: 29.75
Point Spread: -3.5
MoneyLine: -179

This is the Week 7 game I am most excited about as Rusell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks will return from their bye week to take on an Arizona Cardinals team that just smacked the Dallas Cowboys in the mouth 38-10. Wilson has been otherworldly this season and his preferred stack candidates are obvious as DK Metcalf (24.2%) and Tyler Lockett (23.6%) have accounted for nearly 50% of Wilson’s targets this season. The Cardinals offense is similarly predictable, with DeAndre Hopkins leading the team with a massive 32% market share. Hopkins is one of the best overall plays on the entire slate and pairs well with Metcalf and/or Lockett in game stacks.
