Las Vegas
- OU 8.5
- Favored BOS -150
Pitchers
- Home Ryan Dempster has been dealing. He has 25 Ks over his first 3 starts and has only given up 10 hits. I am not crazy about the matchup versus a KC team loaded with left-handed bats that has only 90 Ks on the year but it is hard to argue with his success. Target
- Away Ervin Santana has pitched well to open the season. He draws a tough matchup today in a BOS team that is batting .282 versus right-handed pitching. He has upside but I do not like to take pitcher who are such big underdogs. Avoid*
Batters
- Home David Ortiz’s numbers versus Santana are very good. He came out of the gate strong last night with 2-4 showing. Jacoby Elisbury has nice BvPs as well as does Shane Victorino.
- Away Jeff Francoeur has some very tasty BvPs versus Dempster. He is always a great value play. Billy Butler and “Salvador Perez(player-profile)”:/players/Salvador_Perez-11446’s numbers are nice also. I do not need to tell you to play the hot Alex Gordon or Lorenzo Cain versus the right-hander.

Las Vegas
- OU 8.5
- Favored OAK -110
Pitchers
- Home Roberto Hernandez 11.57 home ERA from a year ago is alarming. Granted, it was in limited starts. He has not pitch well to start the season. He gets enough Ks to offset some of the damage but he catches an OAK team batting .303 on the road and just keeps winning ballgames.Avoid
- Away Tommy Milone has pitched on par with his career numbers in his first 3 starts. His road game ERA is much worse than his home at 4.83 and he was just a 5.12 pitcher in day games a year ago. He is producing Ks and draws a very cold TAM team batting .217 over the last 7 days. I think there are easier matchups to be had. Avoid
h3. Batters
- Home TAM as a team has a .385 BAA versus Milone but in only 39 AB. Evan Logoria and Ben Zobrist look like solid plays again today versus the left-hander.
- Away OAK as a team has a .345 BAA versus Hernandez. The pitcher has been struggling so it is take you pick with them today. Jed Lowrie and Seth Smith have been the A’s best hitters.

Las Vegas
- OU 9
- Favored CLE -114
Pitchers
- Home Erik Bedard cannot pitch any worse versus CLE than Phil Humber did yesterday. Hope you stacked the Indians. He got just 1 out in his last start in OAK so he certainly can come close. Even if he were on a good team, he does not get enough Ks to consider using him. Avoid
- Away Ubaldo Jimenez has been getting hit hard for a while now. I feel bad for the kid and just want it to stop. He was a high K/9 guy in his prime but his Ks are down this year. He is only 29 and draws an Astros team with 166 Ks on the season. In Play
Batters
- Home Brandon Laird was the play of the day yesterday as he went yard in his first start at 3rd. The Astros showed some life yesterday and face off against a struggling pitcher. Look to some of their cheap guys to add value to your roster again today.
- Away Encore performances rarely happen. There is normally a letdown the next day. I do like the heart of the order today as the splits for Mark Reynolds, Carlos Santana, and Nick Swisher look good in this park that favors right-handed power. I also have a gut feeling that Drew Stubbs goes yard today. Just a hunch.

Las Vegas
- OU 8.5
- Favored MIL -145
Pitchers
- Home Wily Peralta has struggled in his first two starts at home this year. It is a tough park to pitch in. The 23 year old gets the ball today versus a CHC team that is only batting .197 on the road this year and has 130 Ks on the year. He is the heavy favorite by Vegas and has decent K/9 upside. Target
- Away Scott Feldman did not even make it 5 IP in his first two starts. He needs to have at least one outing in which he can meet the requirements to qualify for a win before I can even consider him as a matchup play. This would not be the matchup though. Avoid
Batters
- Home Ryan Braun and Jonathan Lucroy have nice BvPs today. Carlos Gomez has been on fire at home so use him again today. Scott Feldman is struggling so that puts everyone in play.
- Away There is not much BvP data on Peralta. The Cubs gave been hot lately and this park produces runs so you can look to a few of the Cubs for value. Alfonso Soriano is swing a hot stick and Anthony Rizzo has 5 HRs on the season. He could be a sneaky play versus the Right-hander today.
Minnesota at Chicago White Sox

Las Vegas
- OU 8.5
- Favored CWS -139
Pitchers
- Home Gavin Floyd had two rough outings on the road in a row. He pitched well in his first start at home. He squares off vs. a MIN team that is hot batting .283 over the last 7 days and .323 versus him. He is the strong favorite today and gets plenty of Ks. In Play
- Away Scott Diamond first start did not go well. He had some success with the Twins in the bullpen last year but it was not against CWS. The White Sox’s are a combined 35-116 with 4 HRs. CWS comes into today batting .217 over the last 7 days but Scott Diamond has limit K/9 upside and is not favored by Vegas. Avoid
Batters
- Home Alex Rios and Dayan Viciedo are both batting over .400 versus Diamond with 1 HR each. Paul Konerko gets the righty/lefty split today. Even Adam Dunn is 3-10 with an HR versus the lefty.
- Away Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer each have 3 HRs versus Floyd. Both hit right-handers well. “Joe Mauer(player-profile)”:/players/Joe_Mauer-10260’s .442 BAA 1.346 OPS versus Floyd make him my play of the day.
