Pitchers
- Home C.J. Wilson continues to disappoint us. He always seems to have a great matchup and yet he just can’t have that breakout game. The matchup is there once again as he gets to face the Mariners. I think he will pick up the win, but as usual he will allow a few runs in the process. In Play
- Away Brandon Maurer gets the start and he is rather unlucky in that this is a bad time to face this Angels offense. They are clicking on all cylinders. Avoid
Batters
- Home Josh Hamilton is finally hitting the ball, Albert Pujols is on a nice roll, Mike Trout continues to mash the ball, and Mark Trumbo is playing well too. All our in play. Take the leadoff batter as well because they will likely score some runs.
- Away Shoppach and Morse both have good numbers against Wilson and if he keeps pitching like he has been, then there will be some good opportunities for the M’s bats.

Pitchers
- Home Cliff Lee takes the mound today and will likely be one of the top scoring pitchers tonight. He gets the great matchup against the Marlins and he has been fairly good on the road this season. His K numbers have been down, but against the Marlins he should be able to pick up quite a few along the way and pitch deep into the game. Target
- Away Kevin Slowey takes the mound and I just don’t see the value here. Avoid
Batters
- Home Taking a weak offense against a great pitcher usually isn’t the best idea. Avoid.
- Away The Phillies should find some success against Slowey who is starting to show his old self. Ryan Howard is always a good bet against soft throwing righties so don’t be surprised to see him have a good game. The left hand bats of Domonic Brown and Chase Utley also are in good spots.

Pitchers
- Home Jordan Lyles has actually pitched pretty well this season if you throw out his start against Texas. While I don’t think he makes a great play in h2h’s and 50/50’s, he is cheap enough that he could provide value in a GPP. In Play
- Away James Shields should be in for a big night against this Astros team. They have managed to score some runs on the Royals other pitchers, but I think their luck runs out tonight against Shields. He has big upside and a great matchup. Target
Batters
- Home Expect a lot of K’s and not many base runners. Avoid
- Away I may be in the minority, but I think Lyles pitches well here. Eric Hosmer gets the positive splits in his favor, but I’m just not crazy about the Royals offense.

Pitchers
- Home Hector Santiago has been very good at home this season. He is 3-0 with a 1.42 ERA and almost averaging one strikeout per inning. While the matchup with the Red Sox isn’t a great one, I think he is certainly in play in GPP’s. In Play
- Away Despite the questions surrounding what the heck is on Buchholz’s arm, he continues to pitch well. He has a solid matchup today against the White Sox that really struggle to score runs unless Adam Dunn hits a HR. I don’t think he gets one tonight. Target
Batters
- Home Not much to like here, the White Sox have been slumping and Buchholz is a legitimate ace.
- Away Santiago should pitch well, but Dustin Pedroia owns lefties. If you can get him for a decent price, he is one of your better options at 2B today.

Pitchers
- Home This game has an awfully low over/under for two rookie pitchers. Burch Smith gets another start and he has been all over the board in his first two. He got blown up in the first game and managed to strike out 8 in his next start. He is dirt dirt cheap and because of that, he is a good value pick. Target
- Away Tyler Lyons makes his first start in his career and while there aren’t many better matchups, he has had an ERA over 4 this season in the minors. That does not point to success in the majors. I think he struggles and doesn’t last long. Avoid
Batters
- Home Everth Cabrera has really been playing well and I think this is a perfect game for Chase Headley to take one deep.
- Away I’m avoiding the Cardinals today just because I think they are a bit overpriced and Smith looks like he has decent stuff.
