What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7
- Favored Team – PIT -115
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Gerrit Cole first start went well versus SFO. He recorded only 2 Ks and threw only 80 pitches in the outing so his upside for today is probably limited to around 10 fp which makes him playable to me only on amultiple itcher site and if he is super cheap. LAD is batting .251 on the road, .247 versus right-handers, .251 over the last 7 days. Avoid
- Away I know Zack Grienke has struggled on the road this year with a 6.91 road ERA but it is hard for me to believe that he would be listed as the underdog against a rookie. He has only thrown 3 times on the road and 1 of those starts was in COL. The low OU makes him playable and he has more upside than his opponent on the mound. PIT is batting .245 at home, .241 versus right-handers, and .275 over the last 7 days. In Play
Batter Grind Down
- Home Clint Barmes is 7-13 versus Grienke. Andrew McCutchen is hot with 31 fp over the last 7 days. He is also batting .348 at home and .296 versus right-handers.
- Away Puig, Ramirez, Gonzalez and Crawford are all batting around .300 versus right-handers. Adam Either is another left-handed bat who is producing lately. Cole struggled versus left-handers in his first outing with a .308 BAA vs them. I think everyone is in play but target the lefties.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8
- Favored Team – TAM -160
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Vegas made Roberto Hernandez a solid favorite today. He is a much better pitcher at home with a 4.02 ERA but KAN owns a .285 BAA versus him and has been hot as of late. Hernandez has pitched great versus the poorer hitting teams in the league so if you are not buying into KAN recent performance then consider him playable. KAN is batting .264 on the road, .249 versus right-handers, and .262 over the last 7 days. In Play
- Away It feels like this whole Sunday is full of players like Wade Davis. Davis is a lackluster option and a bad play on the road with a 6.02 road ERA. I cannot begin to tell you the multiple reason why you should avoid him today versus a tough TAM team. TAM is batting .271 at home, .245 versus right-handers, and .275 over the last 7 days. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
- Home Pack your bags because we are headed to stacksville! Matt Joyce and Evan Longoria have each produced over 30 fp in the last week. Yunel Escobar is 8-21 versus Davis
- Away Alex Gordan ‘s 15-31 with 1 HR and Billy Butler ‘s 10-35 are the most notable BvPs but almost everyone’s numbers are encouraging. Salvador Perez has been hot over the last 7 days with 22.5 fp. He is also batting .340 versus right-handed pitching.

CHW vs L | CHW BvP | HOU vs L | HOU BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – CHW -128
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home In his last 3 starts Dallas Keuchel has gone 19 IP with 4 ER and 10 Ks. During that span he has recorded 32 ground ball outs to 19 fly ball outs. 2 of those 3 starts were against BAL and LAA. If that is not a playable pitcher than I do not know what is. He plays for HOU which is the only reason I am not going to say totarget him today versus this poor CHW team. CHW is batting .245 on the road, .233 versus left-handers, and .271 over the last 7 days. In Play
- Away Hector Santiago only made it 6 IP last time out but he threw 107 pitches, which is a good sign. He is a K per inning player and that means he has used upside today versus a HOU team that leads the league in Ks. HOU hits left-handers very well and the managed to score against both Sale and Danks so understand there is some risk involved and I already told you why I think Kuechel will pitch well. HOU is batting .237 at home, .266 versus left-handers, and .180 over the last 7 days. In Play
Batter Grind Down
- Home Santiago has held right-handers to a .195 BAA. His problems have come against left-handers with a .302 BAA so Jason Castro might be a sneaky play if he starts. I still like Barmes and Altuve who hit left-handers well.
- Away Adam Dunn seems to be hitting a long ball every other day. He has 35.25 fp over the last 7 days. Alexi Ramirez, Dayan Viciedo, Alex Rios, and Paul Konerko all hit left-handers well.

DET vs R | DET BvP | MIN vs R | MIN BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – DET -155
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home P.J. Walters already held this same DET team to only 2 runs in 6 IP earlier this year in DET. He is pitching fantastic to start the year and DET is not nearly as deadly on the road as they are at home. He does not get enough Ks to outwiegh his risk today despite his success. DET is batting .259 on the road, .277 versus right-handers, and .246 over the past 7 days. Avoid
- Away Doug Fister has been rolling. He has recorded a quality start in 10 of his 13 outings. He is a low 3s pitcher in all of his splits and is the favorite on the road today where he is a 3.38 pitcher. MIN is batting .262 at home, .241 versus right-handers, and .241 over the last 7 days. Target
Batter Grind Down
Home Trevor Plouffe came off of the DL with a bang last night. He typically hits left-handers better than right-handers so I would not count on him today. Joe mauer and Justin Morneau are both batting over .300 versus right-handed pitching. Morneau is 8-22 with 1 HR versus Fister. Josh Willingham is 6-20 with 2 HRs if he plays.
*Away*Prince Fielder is 5-11 with 2 HRs versus Walters. Walters has been pitching well so I would not overpay for any DET bats today outside of Fielder. I think they score some runs but not too many.

TOR vs L | TOR BvP | TEX vs R | TEX BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 10
- Favored Team – TEX -180
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home I like how Derek Holland keeps switching up his facial hair. He goes from soul patched, to pron stash, to goatee. I think he should keep whatever look he has right now. In fact, I think he should keep doing everything he is doing right now because it seems to be working. This game features a high OU so that scares me a little but Holland has been fantastic at home and has a solid K/9 total to offset a few ER. TOR is batting.242 on the road, .246 versus left-handers, and .251 over the last 7 days. In Play
- Away Try not to read too much into the 10 ER Chien-Ming Wang gave up in his first start back from injury versus CHW. It takes a pitcher a couple of outings to regain their form. I do not expect a 4.27 career pitcher to be that bad again today but he could be. TEX is batting .273 at home, .267 versus right-handers, and .222 over the last 7 days. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
- Home Consider everyone playable. You might even want to stack but TEX has been slumping an expect Wang to pitch better this time out. TEX should score some runs bu not ten of them.
- Away Jose Bautista, Colby Rasmus, Adam Lind, and Edwin Encarnacion have all produced over 20 fp in the last week. Adam Lind is 4-12 with 1 HR versus Holland. Edwin Encarnacion is 3-9 with 1 HR as well.
