May 12th
Each segment, the Fantastic Four will include my top 4 pitchers for tournaments on FanDuel and DraftKings. At times, they’ll include plays who are picking up ownership if I feel like the rostership still doesn’t reflect their upside. Typically, if there is a cash game lock and someone who is pushing 50% rostered, these pitchers won’t get mentioned. However, sometimes on smaller slates, four pitchers won’t be an option.
The Chosen One – Top Tournament Pitchers

Dylan Cease 10000 (DK)/10300 (FD) – Although the potent offense of the Yankees is to be feared, Dylan Cease is our chosen one tonight. The Yankees power comes with strikeout upside, and no pitcher on the slate can match Cease’s 34% K rate this year, let alone his 39% strikeout rate against right handed batters. While the risk of him giving up a few home runs is certainly there, the upside of Dylan Cease tonight is unmatched.
Earth’s Mightiest MLB DFS Stacks

There was an idea, Dave Potts knows this, called the Stacking Initiative. The idea was to bring together a group of of remarkable baseball players, to see if they could become something more. To see if they could work together when we needed them, to hit Home Runs with people on base, like we never could.
It looks as though the Rangers, Pirates and White Sox will all be picking up heavy rostership tonight, and while they’re all good plays, I think we have some strong pivots as well.
Philadelphia Phillies – The Phillies are always a fun stack to play against a left-handed pitcher. Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber never rostered as much as they should be due to the lefty/lefty matchup, however they always remain high-upside options. The super strength of Rhys Hoskins and contact skills of Jean Segura make for great squad mates for my favorite play of the entire slate, Nick Castellanos. PlateIQ lights up all green for Castellanos tonight, and his .299 iso against lefties is too good to pass up. As fun as it is comparing Super Heroes to MLB players, I pride myself and think of myself as a man of faith, as there’s a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that’ll be a home run. And so that’ll make it a 4-0 ballgame.
Los Angeles Dodgers – Zack Wheeler has finally looked like himself again his last two starts, however anytime a lineup as stacked as the Los Angeles Dodgers isn’t being played by the field, I want to be heavily overweight. Mookie Betts, Trea Turner, Freddie Freeman and company boast the strongest order in baseball, and their upside matches any other team despite Wheeler’s return to prominence. If the top half of the lineup are the Avengers, the back half of the lineup aren’t exactly regular humans. These heroes fight from the shadows, at low rostership regardless of how popular the Dodgers get. Feel free to use not just the studs mentioned, but mix and match throughout the order.
Cincinnati Reds – If we want to pay up for Dylan Cease, while still getting pieces of top tier hitters from the Phillies and Dodgers, it’s important to find ways to save some salary. Insert the Cincinnati Reds. JT Brubaker is projecting to be the 3rd most played pitcher, and he isn’t exactly someone we should fear, especially against left-handed batters. From TJ Friedl leading off through Mike Moustakas and Tyler Naquin, the Reds have some inexpensive power bats to round out your lineup.
