NBA Player Props, March 24, 2023
- Jrue Holiday o17.5 points
- Klay Thompson o3.5 three-pointers made
- Anthony Davis o26.5 points
Jrue Holiday o17.5 points (-120), DraftKings
Per CourtIQ, when Khris Middleton is off of the floor this season, Jrue Holiday is averaging 21.0 points per 36 minutes of action. Per props.cash, Holiday has eclipsed this market number in 17 of his last 31 games played with Middleton on the sidelines, with seven games of at least 25 points. Tonight, he gets a favorable matchup against a Utah Jazz defense that has struggled to defend opposing guards in recent weeks. In the last two weeks alone, they have allowed 37 points to De’Aaron Fox, 24 points to Jimmy Butler, and 25 points to Markelle Fultz. Overall, the Jazz rank 21st in defensive efficiency across the last 30 days. Trust Holiday to get the job done in this spot.
Klay Thompson o3.5 three-pointers made (-108), FanDuel
According to props.cash, Klay Thompson has eclipsed this market number in 19 of his 32 games played at home this season. Playing at home, Thompson is averaging 24.8 points, 4.8 three-pointers made, 11.4 three-point attempts, and is shooting 41.8% from beyond-the-arc. On the road, he is averaging only 18.6 points, 3.7 three-pointers made, 9.4 three-point attempts, and is shooting 38.9% from beyond-the-arc. On Friday, Thompson gets a relatively favorable matchup against a Philadelphia 76ers team that has struggled in recent weeks to defend the perimeter, ranking 15th in opponent three-point attempts and 10th in opponent three-point percentage. Thompson is likely to have high volume this evening from the perimeter, making this a worthwhile risk for bettors.
Anthony Davis o26.5 points (-120), FanDuel
Entering play, Anthony Davis has eclipsed this market number in 17 of his last 30 games played. Tonight, he gets a favorable matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, which have experienced difficulties defending opposing forwards as of late. According to props.cash, nine of the last 13 forwards to have a points prop released against the Thunder have hit the over. Across the last month of action, Oklahoma City ranks 19th in opponent field goal percentage in the restricted area, 19th in opponent field goal percentage in the paint, and 30th in opponent field goal percentage in the mid-range. These three areas of the floor are where Davis attempts the vast majority of his shot attempts. Expect him to be aggressive in this contest as the Los Angeles Lakers fight for a playoff spot – take the over.
