NBA Player Props, March 4, 2023
- Jabari Smith o6.5 rebounds
- Joel Embiid o10.5 rebounds
- Brook Lopez o1.5 three-pointers made
Jabari Smith o6.5 rebounds (-140), DraftKings
According to props.cash, Jabari Smith has eclipsed this market number in 30 of 47 games played this season in which he has seen at least 27 minutes of playing time, including 17 of 26 road contests that meet this criteria. Smith averaged 7.4 rebounds per game in November, 7.0 rebounds per game in December, 7.0 rebounds per game in January, and 7.4 rebounds per game in February. Across his last 12 games, he is second on the team, averaging 12.8 rebound chances per contest, proving that the volume is there for his surface-level numbers to be sustainable going forward. On Saturday, he gets a favorable matchup against a San Antonio Spurs team that ranks 18th in rebound percentage and 27th in opponent rebounds per game since February 1. During the last two weeks, eight of the 10 forwards who have had a rebound prop released against the Spurs have hit the over. This is a great spot for Smith, and the juice should be worth the squeeze.
Joel Embiid o10.5 rebounds (-125), FanDuel
Joel Embiid enters play on Saturday averaging 10.4 rebounds per game overall this season. In two games against the Milwaukee Bucks this year, Embiid has eclipsed this market number both times, and averaged 19.5 rebound chances in those two matchups. Since the beginning of February, the Bucks rank 19th in opponent rebounds per game. Since February 16, Milwaukee has allowed 16 rebounds to Nikola Vucevic, 11 rebounds to Deandre Ayton, and 10 rebounds to Wendell Carter Jr. – each of whom hit the over on their rebound prop. Expect Embiid to continue the trend of centers having success against the Bucks on the glass. Take the over.
Brook Lopez o1.5 three-pointers made (-110), BetMGM
In two games against the Philadelphia 76ers this season, Brook Lopez has eclipsed this market number both times, and has never attempted fewer than five shots from beyond-the-arc. Dating back to 2021, Lopez has cleared this market number against the 76ers in five of his last six games against them. Since February 1, Philadelphia ranks 16th in opponent three-point attempts allowed and 24th in opponent three-point percentage when playing on the road. Lopez should have a great opportunity to deliver for bettors in this spot on Saturday.
