What kind of performances can we expect on Tuesday from Jarrett Allen, Kyrie Irving, and Deandre Ayton? Follow along as our NBA betting expert, Nick Galaida, breaks down his three favorite NBA prop bets for January 26 on the hardwood

On Thursday, the NBA slate features six games, beginning with the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics at 7:30 p.m. EST on TNT. As we say every day, bettors should be mindful of the injury report throughout the day in a league where a player can be ruled out spontaneously in the hours approaching tip-off. Ahead of this evening’s action, LaMelo Ball, Gordon Hayward, and Donovan Mitchell are three notable names listed as questionable.

Yesterday, we had our fifth consecutive day of profit with our recommendations in this article, delivering a 3-0 sweep thanks to the collective efforts of Trae Young, Seth Curry, and Keldon Johnson. We are now 44-35-2 across the last 27 days and 11-4 during our recent hot streak. Below, we have three spots we are targeting for January 26 on the hardwood.

NBA Player Props, January 26, 2023

Jarrett Allen 15+ points (-145), FanDuel

Entering play on Wednesday, Jarrett Allen is averaging 14.0 points per game for the season and 14.5 points per game during the month of January. Allen has eclipsed this market number in four of his last seven games overall and tonight gets a favorable matchup against the Houston Rockets, a team that has been average, at best, defending the center position. Earlier this week, Rudy Gobert posted 15 points against the Rockets. Mason Plumlee scored 17 points against Houston less than 10 days ago. In 48 games played this year, the Rockets rank 27th in opponent field goal percentage in the restricted area and 23rd in opponent field goal percentage in the paint. Allen is averaging 9.1 field goal attempts per game this season, with 8.2 of those attempts coming in the restricted area or the paint. Expect a strong performance from him in this spot.

Kyrie Irving o41.5 points + rebounds + assists (-113), Caesars

In his last four games, Kyrie Irving has scored 30 points, 48 points, 38 points, and 30 points, respectively. In that span, he is averaging a voracious 23.8 shot attempts. In addition to his healthy scoring output, Irving has dished-out at least six assists in nine consecutive games, and has collected at least six rebounds in four of his last five trips to the floor. Tonight, Irving gets to face a Detroit Pistons defense that allowed DeMar DeRozan to score 26 points and Zach LaVine to score 30 points in the same game last week. Playing on the second night of a back-to-back set comes with a certain degree of risk, but Irving scored 48 points against the Utah Jazz on January 20 with zero days of rest and 39 points on October 27 with no days in between games. He has an extremely favorable matchup this evening – trust him to have a strong overall game.

Deandre Ayton o17.5 points (-115), MGM

The Dallas Mavericks have been nothing short of a disaster on the road this season, with an 8-15 record away from home. In 23 road contests, Dallas ranks 27th out of 30 teams in defensive efficiency, allowing 113.0 points per 100 possessions. In recent weeks, they have been victimized by opposing centers, allowing 18 points to Bam Adebayo, 16 points to Clint Capela and back-to-back games of 20-plus points to Jusuf Nurkic. On the year, the Mavericks rank 25th in opponent field goal percentage in the paint, which is where Ayton attempts nearly half of his shot attempts. Take the over on Ayton’s points prop.
