What kind of performances can we expect on Tuesday from Jrue Holiday, Nikola Vucevic, and Dennis Schroder? Follow along as our NBA betting expert, Nick Galaida, breaks down his three favorite NBA prop bets for January 31 on the hardwood

On Tuesday, the NBA slate features five games, beginning with the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. EST. Despite the small slate, there are still a few players listed as questionable or out, including Lonzo Ball, Jamal Murray, and Zion Williamson. As always, bettors are advised to keep a close eye on the NBA official injury report throughout the day in case of unexpected absences announced closer to tip-off.

On Monday, we went 1-2, with Dennis Schroder shooting an incomprehensible 2-for-15 from the floor. Still, we have been profitable eight of the last 10 days in this article. Across the last 32 days, we are 52-42-2, including a 19-11 run during the last 10 days. Below, we have three spots we are targeting for January 31 on the hardwood.

NBA Player Props, January 31, 2023

Jrue Holiday o5.5 rebounds (+116), Caesars

In three games since Bobby Portis last took the floor, Jrue Holiday has totaled five rebounds, nine rebounds, and seven rebounds, respectively. In those contests, he had 10 rebound chances, 14 rebound chances, and 14 rebound chances – a consistently high volume of opportunities for a player who only needs six actual rebounds to cash this play tonight. Per CourtIQ, Holiday is averaging 6.5 rebounds per 36 minutes of action this season when Portis is off of the court. Expect him to have a great chance to eclipse this market number once again on Tuesday in Portis’ absence.

Nikola Vucevic u18.5 points (-110), FanDuel

“(player-popup #nikola-vucevic)Nikola Vucevic”:/players/nikola-vucevic-13296’s market number is inflated today as a result of him scoring 26 points in his most recent game against the Orlando Magic. He is unlikely to experience similar success on Tuesday against a Clippers defense that has been tough on opposing centers in recent weeks. According to props.cash, three of the last four true centers who have played Los Angeles have gone under their market number, with the lone exception being Jarrett Allen, who still only scored 15 points. Take the under here.

Dennis Schroder u12.5 points (-120), MGM

Tonight, we get even with Dennis Schroder after he failed us last night with a horrific night shooting the basketball. Per props.cash, Schroder has only eclipsed this market in three of his last 10 games. On Tuesday, he is unlikely to have an opportunity to shoot the basketball a significant number of times, with Anthony Davis and (probably) LeBron James returning to the floor. Since January 15, Schroder has attempted fewer than 10 shots in four of nine games. Only twice in that span has he shot better than 36.4% from the floor. Lacking volume and lacking efficiency, the under is a worthwhile wager for bettors.
