NBA Player Props, February 15, 2023
- Nikola Vucevic o12.5 rebounds
- P.J. Washington o15.5 points
- James Harden u10.5 assists
Nikola Vucevic o12.5 rebounds (-106), FanDuel
In four games played this season with DeMar DeRozan out of the lineup, Nikola Vucevic has eclipsed this number only twice, but he has never recorded fewer than 10 actual rebounds in any of those contests. Only once in that sample has Vucevic recorded less than 21 rebound chances. According to CourtIQ, Vucevic is averaging 13.4 rebounds per 36 minutes of action this season when DeRozan is off of the floor. Tonight, Vucevic gets a favorable matchup against an Indiana Pacers team that ranks 30th in rebound percentage and 30th in opponent rebounds per game since Tyrese Haliburton returned to the floor on February 2. The over is a strong play in this spot.
P.J. Washington o15.5 points (-120), FanDuel
P.J. Washington has some of the most stark home and away splits of any player in the NBA this season. Playing at home, he is averaging 17.5 points per game on 47.9% shooting from the floor, including 36.4% shooting from beyond-the-arc. On the road, he is averaging only 13.2 points on 40.6% shooting from the floor, including 33.0% shooting from deep. According to props.cash, Washington has eclipsed this market number in 14 of 25 home games this season, including back-to-back contests with 22 points. During the month of February, Washington is averaging a season-high 14.0 shot attempts per game, and has only attempted fewer than 13 shots in a game once since January 26. Tonight, he gets to face a San Antonio Spurs team that ranks 24th in defensive efficiency, 29th in opponent field goal percentage, 14th in opponent three-point percentage, and 28th in opponent free throws allowed per game across the last month of action on the road. This is a worthwhile risk for bettors in this spot.
James Harden u10.5 assists (-135), DraftKings
Across the last month of action, the Cleveland Cavaliers are allowing the fewest opponent assists per game of any team in the league. In seven road games in that span, they are allowing the second-fewest assists per game of any team in the NBA. According to props.cash, James Harden has eclipsed this market number in 11 of 22 home games overall this season, but only six times in his last 15 home contests. Across his last 10 games overall, Harden is averaging only 14.6 potential assists per game, which is nowhere near enough volume to record double-digit assists on a consistent basis. Nobody likes to bet the under on anything related to elite players, but the math overwhelmingly favors less than 11 assists from Harden on Wednesday.
