DFS Tournament Report: NFL Week 7
That’s right, RotoGrinders’ very own Cal Spears took down $100,000 on Yahoo. After Michael Floyd scored a touchdown in the first half, Cal needed one more catch for 10+ yards from Floyd to take the top spot. He had to sweat it out but Floyd finally got that catch and Cal held on for the big win. Congrats Cal! Here’s a look at the rest of the big winners for the night, including another Grinder cheeseisgood winning a seat and two players winning two seats, one being the one and only maxdalury.

A blocked punt and a short TD pass gets the Ravens on the board. They convert the two point conversion though to make it a eight point, and one game. Since absolutely no one has any Ravens outside of the occasional Steve Smith share, this changed nothing.

The Cardinals are starting to pull away after a long drive ends with a Palmer to Brown touchdown. Let’s see if that changed anything…
Zarchypoo moved into seventh place in DraftKings $1M Kickoff Million with Brown on his roster. Rpiedade1 moved into eight place in the $500K Slant with Brown as well.
Stawho took the lead in FanDuel’s $2M NFL Rush as a result of Brown scoring – that’s a huge pay jump for him, one that is likely to net him six figures. McJester moved into eight place in the $600K Monster and youngbin920 moved into second place in the $500K Thu NFL Rush, just 2.5 points out of first.

The third quarter comes to an end and all the players that were leading at the start of the night are still on top. Can they hold on through one more quarter?

Another stalled Cardinals drive after a Chris Johnson long run leads to a second field goal. That moves biggmeaims up to fourth in FanDuel’s $600K Monster.
10:18 p.m. ET
A Cardinals field goal stretches their lead to a TD. That moved biggameaims into the top ten in FanDuel’s $600K Monster. Outside of that there were no significant changes other than a few teams sneaking up courtesy of John Brown long reception.

The game is now at the half.

A special teams turnover gave the Cardinals the ball in great field position and they took advantage with a Carson Palmer to Michael Floyd three yard touchdown pass. Floyd was definitely in play tonight so let’s take a look at how that changed things…
Gone_Gold who also moved up in the DraftKings MillyMaker moved up to fifth place in the $500K slant as a result of Floyd’s TD. He’s a little under ten points behind the co-leaders. Surprisingly there were no changes in the top ten of any GPP’s on FanDuel.
There is a sweat for a RotoGrinder co-founder Cal Spears who currently sits in second place in the Yahoo $650K Baller with Floyd’s TD. He’s just 1.82 points from taking the lead and a potential $100,000 pay day.
9:32 p.m. ET
It hasn’t been the game that everyone was expecting and the Ravens just took the lead on a Justin Forsett touchdown run. As you might expect that didn’t change a thing in the standings other than moving the previously mentioned captainkirk12 into fourth place in the FanDuel $600K Monster as a result of Justin Tucker PAT.

The first quarter ends with the Ravens driving. A quick look at the big GPP’s shows no significant movement in the leader boards.
8:53 p.m. ET
It didn’t take long for the Cardinals to answer. Two long pass plays and Chris Johnson bouncing outside for a TD. Most rosters are focused on the Cardinals passing game, however, so that score doesn’t shift the standings any.
8:47 p.m. ET
Each team has had one drive and attempted a field goal. Arizona missed theirs and Justin Tucker converted for the Ravens. This changed nothing in the DFS GPP standings outside of captainkirk12 moving into fifth place in the FanDuel $600K Monster as a result of the Tucker FG. He’s 7.68 points behind the current leader.

If there was a way to label this week, it would be to call it the week of the chalk as most of the players that were expected to do well did just that. Most of the top lineups contained Todd Gurley, Lamar Miller, Rob Gronkowski, and Julio Jones – all players that were expected to have good games. Throw in the chalk St. Louis Rams defense and you have your winning lineups. There are still some sweats coming into a Monday night game that sees a top Arizona offense take on a terrible Ravens defense. As always, we’ll be here throughout the night providing live updates and will also review the Live Qualifiers and who takes down the seats at the end of the night.

Chadg10 is tied for second in the Milly Maker and is third in the Play-Action. He used that same lineup and holds the top spot in this GPP with no one within 35 PMR. A solid weekend indeed for Chad!

Gone_Gold is one of the few who has a slim, outside shot of taking down the Milly Maker and he used that same lineup to take the top spot in the DraftKings “high roller” GPP. He’s 9 points ahead of SomeKidsDad who will have an interesting decision to make tonight on whether to keep Michael Floyd in or pivot to some lesser known entity. Lurking in 43rd place with Larry Fitzgerald and a cheapie tight end is none other than maxdalury – he sits a little more than 27 points behind the top spot.

There is much left to be decided in FanDuel’s high roller event. Ppars5 holds the current lead but there are plenty of players within striking distance. It should make for a compelling sweat for those four tonight.
