DFS Tournament Report: Week of June 19th - June 25th

Monday, June 19th
The week got off to a big start with brucejennerdds (#157 TPOY #76 MLB) taking down the week’s first six-figure payday by winning the Mega 4’s on DK. It started with a nearly 50 point effort from SP Corey Kluber but it was the Indians bats that were key as three of them (Santana, Kipnis, and Ramirez) both put up 20 spots. It was a dominating performance as runner-up junkyard56 would finish more than 20 points behind. Third place in that big contest would go to ChipotleAddict who would not go empty handed on the day as he would take down the Medium 4’s for $50K more.

Tuesday, June 20th
Awesemo continued his 2017 dominance as he took down three GPP’s on FanDuel including the Monster for a combined $130K in winnings. He would ride the chalk that was Chris Sale and combined that with a Dodgers stack of Grandal-Forsythe-Puig-Seager (the latter of whom put up a massive 72.6 fpt outing) – all of whom were under 4% ownership on the day. Another big name was dominating the action on DK as ehafner took down two GPP’s for a combined $80K. He would also ride a Chris Sale and low-owned Dodgers stack to the top of the leaderboards.

Wednesday, June 21st
The #41 ranked player in the TPOY race, shocae, would help his cause taking down two of the biggest GPP’s on FanDuel on Wednesday for a combined $80K edging out former TPOY winner mcjester in the Monster. It all started with a 58 fpt outing from Carlos Carrasco and was rounded out by a stack of absolutely no one. Yes, that’s right, you can win a MLB GPP without stacking. Of course it didn’t hurt that six of his position players all put up 20+ points including 30+ from Yasmani Grandal and Jedd Gyorko. Awesemo had another solid day on DK winning a GPP as well as taking four of the top six spots in a GPP.

Thursday, June 22nd
Thursday is always the kick off to the big golf contests and this week optimusprime39 would win the biggest payday of all the golf contests as he took down the DK Club Pro for $50K with a lineup that included five of the top eight finishers including eventual winner Jordan Spieth (did you see that hole out from the bunker for the win???). Jazzraz (#125 in TPOY, #11 in PGA) was all over the leaderboards with a GPP win and two other top three finishes.

BirdsOfPray was the big NASCAR GPP winner this week hauling in $50,000 for his victory in the DK Beast. Other big winners of the day include the previously mentioned Crowley family as both bigpapagates and chipotleaddict took down GPP’s on FanDuel (with papagates winning one as well on DK).
