The Washington Commanders and New York Giants will engage in an intra-division battle on Sunday Night Football this evening at MetLife Stadium. Oddsmakers are expecting a tightly-contested affair, pricing the Commanders as 4.5-point home favorites on the spread. In this matchup between playoff hopefuls, the value on the spread and total has been stripped of value ahead of kickoff. Instead of forcing action on the major markets for this game, bettors may find more expected value on player props for this contest.

Commanders vs. Giants Player Props

Terry McLaurin o60.5 receiving yards (-120)

Though he does not often get recognized as one of the premier wide receivers in the NFL, there is little doubt that Terry McLaurin is a star. Entering play on Sunday, McLaurin ranks 10th in the league in receiving yards, despite having to play with Carson Wentz and Taylor Heinicke as his quarterback in 2022. In McLaurin’s last seven games, he has eclipsed this market number four times and only once has he recorded fewer than 55 receiving yards in a game. Two weeks ago, he had eight receptions on 12 targets for 105 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Giants – expect another impressive performance from him in this prime time showdown.

Brian Robinson o63.5 rushing yards (-110)

Defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence has been an elite run defender for the Giants this year, but he has been the only capable run defender for New York. Per Pro Football Focus, Azeez Ojulari, Oshane Ximines, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Micah McFadden, and Jaylon Smith have each graded as significantly worse than league average against the run this season, which should create a significant amount of space on the ground for Brian Robinson to thrive in this matchup. In Robinson’s last four games, he has cleared this number three times – including a 96-yard performance against the Giants on December 4th. Take the over here.

Curtis Samuel o30.5 receiving yards (-110)

Tonight, Curtis Samuel will have an extremely friendly matchup in the slot against cornerback Darnay Holmes, who ranks 108th out of 119 players at his position in coverage grade this season, per Pro Football Focus. When these two teams met earlier this month, Samuel exploited the New York secondary unit for six receptions and 63 receiving yards on seven targets. It would be surprising if he is not an integral component of the offensive gameplan in this spot for Washington.
